  1. Hi Bob, Another contributions on made on behalf of Lynnm. Sincerely, Wes The Bible says when sorrow comes It will endure the night. But joy shall come when dawn breaks through And fills your day with light. Now keep your thoughts on Jesus' love And how He hurts with you. He'll shelter you while in this storm Until your sun breaks through. Lynnm, you will be missed.

That way any settlement claim is paid to me. Greg ---------------- Greg has the best approach in becoming your own shipper. Get your own UPS account, so you are the claimant and no third party is involved. I do the same for my expensive or rare shipments. I've also handled claims as the shipper. Never had a problem with UPS, as they have settled quickly and for the entire amount of the insured item. The have always sent inspectors to view the damaged goods though. I always take pictures of the merchandise before boxing, then picture of boxes after packing. Those photos are included with the claim documents. After settlement, I generally allow UPS to leave the damaged goods with the recipient, because I have no need for damaged goods. Wish you the best. Wes
  3. Don't sweat it this year...fall is very close for us Midwesterners. BTW - I need to start scraping and painting before that time rolls around.
  4. These three were well known in their day, but I don't recall them being recorded by others. Ray Stevens: Jeremiah Peabody's Poly Unsaturated Quick Dissolving Fast Acting Pleasant Tasting Green and Purple Pills. 1961 "The Streak". 1974 Roger Miller: King Of The Road. 1965
  5. Jim Cornell is a form member in the Denver, CO area. If you want to hear a pair of 1973 Klipschorns. I do believe his are also for sale. If you are interested in hearing them, shoot him an email or Private Message (PM) from this forum.
  6. I have a 2003 S40 and really enjoy it. Recently test drove a 2005 S40 T5 with the Auto 5 Speed Geartronic Transmission. Man....did I have a fun time sprinting through the gears. I'm strongly considering selling my 2003 and ordering a loaded 2006 S40 T5 with the Dynamic Trim Packlage next Feb 06. Spring should arrive by the time it arrives on this side of the pond. Best of luck to ya! Wes
  7. Ben.Congratulations!! Daimler Chrysler is ok as a Euro American car company. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> However, If you are considering an import, then take a look at Volvos V50 Wagons. Presently, all Volvo models qualify for Ford's Employee Family Plan pricing. Also many dealers are contributing cash incentives for their remaining 2005 inventory. Employee pricing, rebates and incentives would bring the V50 models price down well within or below your price range. 2.4i T5 Turbo T5 Turbo AWD 168 HP 218 HP 218 HP Base Invoice Price: $24,466 $25,990 $27,657 Heated Mirrors Std. 8. Bi-amping is said to be the best. They say the use of tube amps for the HF section and SS amplification for the LF (bass) section is way better than bi-wiring.
  9. One wouldn't want to just toss those items in the back of vans or pick-ups. Would take several days just for packing. Still think best method would be crate or containers, then ship via a commercial carrier. MHO
  10. I think the biggest issue would be the large $$$ associated with insuring, packaging, shipping and subsequent storage. Individual packing & shipment would not be cost effective. Items would have to be consolidated in crates or containers. The logistics and costs involved in the movement of such an extensive collection is considerable.
  11. That movie was POWER from 1986. Starred: Richard Gere, Julie Christie, Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Opening sequence begins with Gere practicing drumming to the music of Benny Goodman's version of SING SING SING, with Gene Krupa drumming.
  12. I listen to very little radio in Detroit Metro area. My opinion is their are no really good jazz stations broadcasting. For my Khorn system I bought a NAD 4300 AM/FM Tuner. Use it for those times that I want to listen to special classic jazz broadcasts, or to have continuous music playing while I do household chores. The NAD tuner works well for me, and it's connected to a Magnum Dynalab ST-2 Antenna. An inexpensive, but effective combo.
  13. Tim, Congratulations! They are a GREAT looking pair. Thought I would resize and put all three images in one post for ya. Enjoy...Wes
  14. John Wayne impressions - Waa haa...think I'll go wrestle me a gal and kiss me a purdy baar.
