  1. I'm sorry, I forgot to mention cherry on the RF-7ii and RC 64ii sub I prefer black but probably won't be too picky firm on the cherry for the others.
  2. Hello all, I'm just putting out a feeler to see if anything is out there in Klipsch land. I won't be ready to buy till second or third week in February. Haven't seen any sevens on here in quite a while so I probably will go with Acoustic Soundesign they seem to have some really good deals. i'm willing to drive quite a distance, (for a deal) I live in St. Louis Missouri. all or any responses appreciated! i've been lusting after this set up for the last three years trolling this forum and others drooling over other people systems I'm glad to finally be getting close to getting my own. Thanx for reading!
  3. He still has them posted, if I had time this weekend I would run down there to check them out for someone. Unfortunately hes hour and half away and domt have 3 hours to spare this weekend. If he still has them id be willimg to drive down there this upcoming work week. PM me if he emails anyone and rhey to take me up on it.

  5. Thats what Im seeing the more I look, that Sherborn on eBay looks like too sweet of a deal. I'll find out from my buddy tomorrow and go from there.
  6. Yea, i was reading it stays pretty cool as well. I guess it will come down to price. Hopefully he can get me a good deal.
  7. Thanx for the info guys. WOW scrappy that PA 7350 looks incredible! I wasnt that familiar with Sherbourn till I started reading about the deals people were getting on them. That one on Ebay is still there but im guessing it will be gone by Feb. I may have to pull the trigger regardless. I guess Ill call my friend with the Sunfire and ask what type of deal he is talking before I do. I hear what your saying on the two amps look and I really dig the blue lights on the Emotiva's . Ultimately I will go with the best deal. Im getting pretty pumped that things are finally starting to come together, hopefully by middle of next month I should have the majority of my setup. Been a long couple of years looking and lusting after other peoples system.
  8. XPA 5 and XPA 2 for mains. Or are you saying run two surrounds from my AVR?
  9. Thanx willand, What I have been able to find in reviews says the same but I would much rather hear it from someone here than someone who could have a vested interest in one particular brand. Not trying to go all "conspiracy theory" or anything but you never know these days thanks for your help
  10. Hello all, I have been trying to decide which way to go with amps. Anyone have any experience with the Sunfire TGA 7201 . My buddy is a dealer for Sunfire Subs and said he can get me a really good deal but none in stock for me to try. Any idea if it would be as good of a choice as Sherbourn 72100A or two Emotivas? Any info appreciated.
  11. Thanks Ref, that really helps. my LP is 9 feet on one side and seven on the other so Im sure thats way too close for RF. I seen Youthman had a nice looking set for sale but he decided to keep them they must be good speakers. I'll probably go with RB 81 for the rear surrounds though they are more like 12-13 feet away from LP.
  12. The side speaker type is an on going debate. Depending how close your side speakers are can make the difference. The RS line are really good when the speakers are placed close to the lp. RF or RB imo won't be a great choice if they are really close to the lp. If the room is huge and the sides are like 15ft away then those RF and RB might be the best choice. They need room to image and can't do it from 5ft away like the RS can. The RS is not a speaker you point at when it's on. The sound comes from all directions. And that's not for everyone's taste. Some don't like that and want the basic right at you type.
  13. Im about 70/30 movies/music. me but usually when I listen to music I use PLXii music so its mostly 2 channel. sometimes I'll switch it around and play all 7.2 channels or music video setting on receiver utilizing multichannel. But from what I've read just making the upgrade to the RF 7 I I HT will be such an upgrade I'll have a smile on my face continuously anyway
  14. If multichannel music was your primary thing with this setup, I would say go with the RF-82's for surrounds. For HT, RS-62ii Bill
  15. Used parasounds sell all the time pretty reasonable. Not saying the best amp out there but I am very happy with mine, very warm sounding I have read that Parasound are very warm sounding amps, I have also read that it doesn't make a difference an amp is amp. it's hard to figure out sometimes which to do when you have no experience with amps . I know there are certain individuals who offer people thousands of dollars if they could distinguish one amp from another. I personally couldn't pass the Pepsi challenge, so im going to probably go with the knowledge that I've gained through people on this forum .the guys on this forum who run the system that I would like to have,RF-7ii use Emotiva with no problems. i'll probably just dive in headfirst and see what happens, sometimes life is trial and error.
  16. Good evening all, I seem to find RF 82 everywhere on craigslist lately, in a lot of cases I could get them cheaper than RS 62ii's. In February I will be putting together a RF 7ii HT , what would be the advantage to using RF 82 as surrounds instead of RS 62's? The RS 62ii must be very capable speakers, because a lot of people here on the forum(Who have much more knowledge than I do)have them on their signature. Would it be better for music to have the RF 82's to use as surrounds? Also while I have some of you reading, if I decide to go with B stock RF-7ii will the RC 64ii Match? does the RC 64 I I come in B grade also? I know I've read in this RF 7ii owner thread towards page 30 and on that sometimes people received "a" stock because they did not have a center that would match their RF-7ii "b" stock. thanks ahead of time for any comments have a good evening.
  17. Okay strike my earlier comment, I am an idiot! I need to go to the helpdesk and figure out how to reply properly, sorry
  18. I may consider front presence speaker in the future, or I have even read that there may be a move to speakers ABOVE you on the ceiling . Im sure that someday it will be 25.4 but Im pretty content with 7.2, just lusting after switching out my speaks and giving them proper power. come Feb. 1st Ill be in the garage sale section with my WTB. I also found through scrappy some pretty amazing deals through acoustic sound design. Teeter tottering on which way to go with this point.
  19. I do appreciate the kind words. Just about every bit of knowledge about audio I have learned is from these great people on this forum. I don't think you will notice a huge difference running an XPA-2 on your fronts and XPA-5 on the rest over a pair of XPA-5's, especially for HT. The power difference in the two XPA's is minimal when it comes to volume(1.5 to 2.0 dB), but using an XPA-2 on your fronts "may" provide better separation for 2-channel music. If you are certain that you will expand to 9.1 or more in the future, then why not another XPA-5. Bill . 20. Just had an AHAA! moment, systems show up on signature on an ACTUAL computer. I tend to use my phone. I guess I need to start using desktop version on iphone instead of mobile. 'Im not really an idiot, but i DO play one on TV."
  21. I meant I respect your opinion on how you answer not that you have same setup. I seem to have lost the ability to find what systems people are running by their signature. It used to be on their reply, now I dont know where it went.
  22. Timdog. Is your Yamaha on the "bright" side with your current speakers. Presently how does it sound for music? I am asking because I like a "brighter" sound when watching movies and a more neutral sound for music. Higher frequency movie special effects sound better when not rolled off, IMO. Does your Yamaha YPAO have more than one EQ setting? My NAD T175HD pre/pro not only has the usual Audyssey MultEQ XT settings of "Flat" and "Audyssey", it has NAD's own curve called "NAD EQ" which I prefer for music. I use the "Audyssey" curve for movies. Bill
  23. Yes Willand it definitely is bright with music, do you think running it purely as processor will help with all power from amps? YPAO does have a 6 position room correction but is missing many features I read about with Audyssey. Ill probably go Emotiva and get an XPA-2 for mains and XPA-5 for surrounds. What is your opinion on the XPA-2 vs getting two XPA-5's and have room for expansion. Will I notice a big difference in the extra 100 watts that the XPA-2 has over the XPA-5? Actually I wont miss it because IVE NEVER HAD the speakers or the amps so cant miss what I never had. But in your opinion would the RF-7ii benefit from the extra 100 watts. I see MANY individuals(whose opinions are highly regarded by me, You being one of theml) on this forum running 200 watts to them. So is the XPA-2 overkill or will I have to be alot more careful?
