  1. Hello, are the peerless 830500 still available? Dan
  2. Hello all, this is my first post here, well actually not. I've been a member here before but can't remember all of my old info so I had to setup a new account. I'm a bit of a DIYer when it comes to audio. I'd love to tinker with my RF-3 IIs. Is there any real way of making them RF-5 clones? If the klipsch website has this right then the RF-5 is a little taller, but not as deep. The important thing is the baffle width and they're both the same. Overall the RF-3 should have more internal volume, but I could add bracing to take away some of that volume. They both use the same woofers. I would need new tweeters and horns which wouldn't seem too hard to put in and do some crossover work. Thoughts? Also I have read about DeanG crossover mods for the RF-7 and new diaphragms for the mids and tweeter for the KLF series and such. Are there any mods for the RF-3 II if the whole RF-5 upgrade doesn't pan out? I plan on at least putting new caps in the crossover, a little more bracing, using a damping material on the woofer frames and the horn to stop resonances. Also use the the calk/clay tape stuff between all of the drivers and cabinet. Any ideas would be great! Thanks, Dan
