Feel free to bid as you will, I changed my mind for now. I really don't have the place for them now. Anyway, the HeresyII already give me a great taste of the Heritage line. It already gives enough power to fill my room at the level I want. I must pay attention to my ears because I found out that my right ear has a deteriorated frequency response; it lacks at least 2 or 3 dBs in the 1kHz-2kHz region! and it is a little more rolled off at the end and I can't hear higher frequencies than 17kHz

I knew it! I should have bought it right away! If I would just have given him my credit card number! No more Paypal delays!

Would you say my prices are too high? Or is it that I'm so far north for most people? I would be willing to travel a bit in Canada. If you find my prices too high, could you tell me what you think my speakers, amp and sub are worth? I have several other classifieds that I would update. Thanks.

Here is 4 photos of the pair of custom steel stands for the RS-3, in the support.zip file. The plates are 3/32" thick and the soldering was made by a professional. They are quite heavy: 25 lbs each, and the base is large, so your future RS-3 won't fall. What you see under them are tissue pads, to avoid any scratching of wood floors. Those could be taked off without problem if you want. As for the price of the RF-3, RC-3, RS-3, I think that 1450$CAD (1160$USD) for them would be fair (I paid them 2275$CAD 4 years ago, not counting the value of the custom stands.) I would not keep the stands as I would no longer need them and they are really made for RS-3. I would prefer to not sell the reference set individually as the remaining speakers would be useless and harder to sell. If I sell those reference serie speakers, I would also like to sell my 1802 Denon receiver at 450$CAD (360$USD.) I would also let my RB-5 go for 750$CAD (600$USD.) Those RB-5 are really like new. The thing is that I really prefer the heritage timbre... I have loved my reference serie speakers for 4 years but I have finally decided to go full heritage after hearing the Heresy II. So I must separate from them because I will not even have the place to keep them stored. They were bought new in 2001 and are in perfect shape, except for a small cosmetic damage shown in the attached picture. I have all manuals and boxes in like new state. I also have the spikes and rubber feet that came with the RF-3 (I always used the round rubber feet.) I would prefer to sell them with my Denon AVR-1802 receiver. I would prefer to keep my sub (Mirage FRX-S15, 300W continuous, 18Hz-100Hz) but I could be persuaded to sell it to upgrade to SVS... I still have the manuals and boxes of the AVR1802 and sub. I also have a pair of RB-5 that I'm not sure yet I want to keep... They don't take a lot of space so perhaps I should at least keep that reference beauty to remember the reference sound from time to time Those were bought new in 2002 and I would let them go for a good price; they are in perfect state, zero scratch.

It's very likely because the year on the speaker, where the plugs are, is 1985. The year on the sticker is 1980. Perhaps I have the best of both worlds?

Thank you very much for the offer but I'm from Quebec and I think it would be expensive to ship. Well, perhaps USPS could make a "normal" price but I know UPS and FedEx usually charge a fortune to cross the border... Can you estimate the weight of a pair of risers and check the cost of shipping to postal code G8T5P7 in Canada by USPS by airmail? Or you could post your postal code and weight of risers and I could check myself. If it's too complicated, I could just buy a plank and do my own risers. Perhaps I could make them so that the axis of the horns point straight to my face...

Finally, I got those Heresy II for 320$ and they sound wonderful. They are not even in corners and when I pump some juice in them, they SLAM! I've never heard such a tight bass before. Now, I can't love my RF-3, I like the heritage sound better for acoustic music! The soundstage is way better. But for metal and hard rock, the RF-3 still have a place for now, until I get Klipschorns. So my questions are: 1) Considering that my Heresy II do not have the foot that give them an angle, should I build myself some to get the sound on the horns more straight in my face? 2) What is the angle of the foot made for the more recent Heresy II?

I got a response from the wife of the seller telling me some info: Written on the back (on the sticker?): K-C-BR, Serial # 8P293 Horns: K-77-M and K-55-V I Really really love that color. How much do you think they should be worth, considering the light damage on the side cloth? (edited) Does the model numbers of the horns give an idea about the year of construction?

My current room is 12' (wide) x 14' (depth) x 8'6" (height). I have 3 true, free corners but I know the room is small for Klipschorns. The question is, would they sound good all the same? I already have some RF3, RC3, RS3 and Heresy2 all crammed in here. (Perhaps I would sell the RS3 and use the Heresy2 as soft playing mains and surround for home theater?) Would I be better with some La Scala? I ask because my heart is set on those on ebay (item number 5785742829) They have some damage on the tissue but I don't really care; I want to try Klipschorn speakers badly! I would like them because they are near me, that is less than 300 miles! Yes, that's near for someone from Quebec . I already mailed the seller to know what are the model numbers of the drivers and crossovers.

In fact, I already have a RF-3/RC-3/RS-3/RB-5 setup. I will soon build SET tube amps and I will need speakers to test them. And I want to try the heritage line... The La Scala also look splendid, but most auctions would require me to do a 500 to 1000 miles run to get them, as I'm up here in Quebec, Canada... So you say I should jump on this, before trying any other heritage? Is the sound from a La Scala comparable to the sound of a HeresyII, if we forget the difference of sensibility?

Should I buy a used set of Heresy II, year 1997, with no scratch on the cabinets for 320$? They are from the original owner.

I don't think that you would sell your Klipschorn but if that's the case, I would also be interrested.

I'm from the province of Quebec in Canada so that is at least 1000km, but I consider it near compared to most other auctions I have seen... I see lots of beautiful Klipschorns going near California and Texas, but they would cost 1000$ more for me in gas...

I saw them also. In fact, if I go big heritage, I would be more interrested with the Klipschorn. But the thing is, there is not a lot of Klipsch speakers selling at less than 10 hours ride from my home and this one is... But I'm really not in a hurry so I think you can take them Just a question Tommy, how is the sound of your Heresy II compared to the sound of your RF-7 for music listening?

From what I heard, I'm pretty sure I would love the sound of a Klipschorn. Sure, my 12'x14' room is not really adapted to it right now but I'll move one day anyway... If the Klipschorn really has the best sound of them all, I would be better waiting a bit to find one pair near me. I tend to go for the top from the start when I buy something I know I'll use for a long time.
