Ah... you meant HD video. Definitely won't get that via TOSlink! Or HD multichannel audio (LPCM, DTS-HD, TrueHD, etc).

TOSlink can carry HD stereo audio (up to 24-bit, 96-kHz IIRC). And in this case it seems to have been done to allow video to be sent directly to the TV while the Yamaha AVR is playing audio from a different source. A better option is probably to enable the audio return channel (ARC) via HDMI from the TV to the AVR, allowing elimination of the TOSlink cable. Assuming of course that both the TV and AVR support ARC...

Don't bother with the small, table-top amplified antennas. They're useless probably 99.9% of the time. A $2 wire dipole will usually work better.
But being in the basement, your options are very limited for an indoor antenna. Especially at 30+ miles from the transmitters. You really need to get something outside. Even if it's a simple dipole mounted to the outer window moldings, with a lead wire through the window.

I switched to a Modwright line stage recently and have a Juicy Music Tercel II phono stage on the way. So I need to sell my Juicy Music Blueberry Extreme full-function preamp. The phono stage in the Blueberry Extreme is the same as the Tercel (v1), IIRC. This BBX is in very nice condition with a great cabinet, clean front panel, and clean innards.
The current tube set is: Westinghouse 12X4 (rectifier), 1964 gold-pin Sylvania 6922 (line stage), pair of Sylvania 12AT7s (phono), and GE 12AX7 (phono). I do have the original box and packing materials. I do not have the printed manual but do have a PDF copy that I can send to you.

One additional (related) question. Does anyone know the input capacitance of the phono section in the BBX? 100pF or so?

Thanks Mark. I wasn't sure whether you were active here. I quite like the BBX. Currently running a Sylvania gold-pin 6922 in the line stage; plus a Telefunken 12AT7, GE long-plate 12AX7, and Mullard 12AT7 in the phono stage; and Westinghouse 12X4. I'll send the details in a PM.

I hadn't considered the possibility that there was no official PDF copy of the manual. But Juicy Music was a very small company, so perhaps they didn't provide a downloadable user's manual. A scanned copy would be wonderful, if you can find yours! Thanks.

Does anyone have a PDF copy of the manual for the Juicy Music Blueberry Extreme pre-amp? I've searched and searched and have been unable to locate one. A spare printed copy would also be welcomed. I purchased one of these recently (1st version, with 6DJ8/6922) and it arrived sans manual. Thanks!

I'm the new owner of the Tercel that was linked above. I guess Gopher2k forgot to update the thread to indicate that it was sold.
The Ortofon Pro S is, IIRC, a version of the OM-series cartridge. Which means that it is a moving iron cartridge, compatible with any moving magnet phono stage.
