  1. Has anyone tried or heard the RF-7 build into a baffel wall behind the screen? Is that possible, and will it sounds good? How does RF-7 sounds if you close the ports in the back?
  2. I will build a dedicated home cinema room, so I can install the speakers flushed in the wall, but I dont think that is possible with the RF-7 as they have the ports in the back? I will have 2 or 3 subs in my system pluss Crawson tacticals in the sofa so the bas will not be the problem. My biggest problem is the distance to the wall behind the screen.
  3. I have also heard that three identical speakers in front is recomended, but I have never heard the RF-7 as a center. What about distance to the front wall what is recomended for RF-7 that have 2 back firing ports?
  4. Hi, I have RF-7 MK2 as front speakers on my surround system and a RC-64 as center speaker. Im now building a dedicated cinema room with AT screen where the speakers will be hidden behind. Has anyone compered the RC-64 MK2 with RF-7 MK2 as center speaker? I just wonder what option I should go for. What distance is recomended from the back of the RF-7 to the wall? When you have speakers with port in the back, what type of acustical damping should I use on the wall. Thanks
  5. They are set to small and xo 80, Im using them togheter with a JTR captivator sub. Derrickdj1 are you happy with the sound when you have them 9" from the wall, have you tried with some more distance?
  6. Does any one know how close to the front wall I can place a Klipsch RF-7 II speaker before I compromise the sound quality? I sitting and planing a hifi/Cinema room, and I have two choices of room design. In one of the choices do I need to place the front speakers close as possible to the front wall without compromise the sound quality, because I will have a sound transparent wall in front of the speakers. I can not test by my self, so I just want to know whats your experience? Thanks
  7. So you mean it's no way to fight the noise floor? I heard a guy talking about some of his sound floor disapear when he use Kimber monocle cable with his Klipsch RF-7 II, as anyone tried? Will it help with Line Level Attenuator? I got very high volum from the speaker when my pre amp is at 60-70% of max volum.
  8. Hi have just bought a Klipsch Reference RF-7 II Sorround system. Its connected to a Parasound Halo A51 power amp, and I use AudioQuest Rocket 33 speaker cable. I use a Oppo BDP-103 blueray player connected to a Marantz AV-7701 pre amp (prosessor). I use balanced XLR cables between the AV-7701 and the Halo A51. When I turn up the volum can I hear some noise coming from the speaker, the noise level is following the volum. What I suspect is the noise is coming from the AV-7701 prosessor. It's no noise if the pre amp is disconected. I know the Klipsch RF-7 is very sensetive speakers so that is maybe the reason for I can hear the noise so well. When I adjusting the volum to 60-70% of max do I hear the noise very well, and this is the volum I use when I wants to play very loude. How can I reduce this noise? Will it help to buy a more expensive speaker cables (which cable type) or in-line attenuators? Has anyone had the same problem?
  9. Hi, I need some Hi end speaker cables to be used between Klipsch RF-7MK2 speakers and Parasound Halo A51 amplifier. Any recomendation? Should I bi wire my klipsch, or is it no need on these speakers? Thanks for all replys
  10. I looking for a preamp/surround prossesor for driving a Parasound Halo A51 & Klipsch RF-7 II. I want an prossesor/preamp that is rated 120-240V input voltage. I know the new Marantz AV-8801 is a good combination with the equipment over, but it's only 110v or 220v model. If I use a stepdown transformer from 220v to 110v, Im not sure how that will works when the frequency is 50hz instead of 60hz? So I looking for another preamp that works fine with my set up. Any suggestion for a good preamp/surround prossesor that sound good with A51 and RF-7 II????
  11. Hi, I looking for an amplifier for a Klipsch RF-7 II Home cinema system. I know Parasound Halo A51 is a good match, but how will the RF-7 II sound with Emotiva XPR-5? Can the XPR-5 match the A51 when it comes to sound quality? The price is doubble for the A51, so I can use the extra money for a good sub if it sounds as good as the A51. It's nice to get some feed back from RF-7 II owners who have experience with the Emotiva XPR-5 and Parasound Halo A51. Thanks for all good answers
