  1. Funny you mention your receiver. Best Buy is running a nice deal on the Pioneer VSX-53 right now. It's marked $400 off. I have been doing some research on it and I think it might be the route I go with for a receiver.
  2. Thanks Moray. I tried it with a big soft pillow, but nothing. I also tried pulling the speaker out and having it sit out on the cabinet, but no luck. I am thinking it might be the room. I have a large living room and even though I have furniture, it still echoes. Do you or anyone else know if the room can be causing it? If so my wife might end up getting that large sectional she really wanted.
  3. Moray, does it have to be wool? Can I use any thick comforter and fill the cabinet with any thick soft material.
  4. Thanks for all the replies. I had thought about the accoustical foam, but I am going to try dampening it first before i spend money on foam. I will also trying moving the center above some how and out in the open and see how that works.
  5. Hello all. I was reading up on the placement of the center channel. Since I moved my center channel sounds a little too bassy. I read that many times this is a result of a center channel being placed in some type of enclosure. I have a Synergy C-2 and it sits in a cabinet. A few years back I had it sitting on top of an old box tv and it sounded great. However, since my move I have some issues with clarity. Is this speaker designed to be on top of the tv as I had it before? I can't put it on top of the tv because I have an LCD now. Would mounting it on the wall above the tv help? If it wasn't meant for that, I may have issues with it too from what I've read. I think the best place to get an answer is here on the Klipsch forum. Thanks.
  6. The center is fine. It's one of my towers that got damaged. I live in Miami so shipping would be rediculous. That's what makes it all that much worse. If I can find something that matches what I already have would be great. Or am I going to have to replace both towers, with what and will they work fine with the C2 center channel?
  7. Hello all. New to the forum. Ok so I have the Synergy F-2 for towers with the C-2 center channel. Well somehow, one of them crapped out. Well not crapped out but it sounds bad now. I saw some liquid there, so I am thinking my daughter found a way to get milk or juice in it. Now I know that my speakers are discontinued so I can't go out and buy one and I worry about getting something on Craigslist or Ebay that I can't go inspect first. Is there anything I can get like the Icon KF-26 for example? I know it's important to have all 3 front channels the same to keep the same timbre. This one seems similar to what I have, or is there something else out there that may match. I really cant afford to replace everything right now. Thanks everyone.
