I liked Hemispheres But I wanted 3 albums that encompasses an era As a person that had very little knowledge of Rush and looking now as a critic I chose the 3 Hemispheres is actually very similar to - A Farewell To Kings & a little bit like dream theatre ? But A Farewell To Kings ticked my boxes as a better album Just me picking one album over another - doesn’t mean that Hemispheres is bad because it’s not

My Rush post above is a hint hint that with luck 3 UK 1st press Rush LPs may be coming my way ( fingers crossed ) 1) Signals 2) Moving Pictures 3) A Farewell To Kings I blame Mike with his Rush posts Have listened to all Rush albums - however in my opinion the 3 in the above list were to my liking and best based on my assessment sessions And on another update I have secured the Marillion B Sides LP

@WillyBob due to the recording method and technology of the day It will sound like this If they used 78 rpm and used a better recording method the sound would probably be way better than 33rpm but less content would fit on the disc

I am very fortunate to have such a record collection Not a large collection by any stretch but all quality LPs by quality artists When I was young I tended to gravitate to “non pop “ artists and quite a few had to be ordered or imported for me The record shop staff had no idea until they found the listing in their catalogue More good LPs still to be played
