  1. I have a nice pair of Cornwall 2 speakers for sale (circa 1986 S/Ns 8673437/8). Orginally unfinished Birch plywood stained to a Golden Oak finish. Like new cane grills and I would rate cabinets 7of 10. One small nick to veneer back right corner on one speaker. These speakers will need no updating, repairs, etc. since thats already been done by me. New Bob Crites titanium tweeter diaphragms, midrange phenolic diaphragms, Crites Cornwall 2 crossover assemblies, and Cardas solid copper billet binding posts. Plug and play and enjoy. Any questions please email me to discuss. I live in central Va. about 3 hrs. to D.C. or major cities in North Carolina. Asking 1200.00 for this nice set of Cornwall 2 speakers. Can check out my feedback on audiogon as batman1. Thanks for looking! Having trouble loading pics. Will be happy to send photos. Jim
  2. Hi Reddog in reference to you Belles for sale may I ask where you live in N.C.? I live in central Va. and may have interest. Is it possible to post pictures of your speakers? Thank you and best of luck on your sale.
  3. Thanks to the guys who time to respond to my question. Perhaps before cutting / a replacement B&C midrange driver could be tried out and see/hear what results would be accomplished. One step at a time I think would be a more prudent move. And I forgot to ask-maybe Justin could respond or anybody else for that matter. Have you experimented with additional bracing and/or sound absorption materials such as black hole/acoustic barrier etc. I appreciate your thoughts..
  4. Hi I am curious if anyone has retro fitted an Eliptrac 400 horn into the Crites Cornscala C speaker. It has been recommended that the original P audio M2380 horn was more suited for a two way and that for optimal sound the eliptrac 400 be used to replace it. Checking the measurements on both manufacturers website the opening will need to be lengthened but the original hole is taller. Any suggestions on the best method or perhaps the amount of better sound from it would not be worth the extra work. Also B&C driver recommended over the Selenium D405. Already using ALK Cornscala version crossover was installed. Thanks for any ideas/suggestions/advice.
  5. For Sale> pair of La Scalas in light walnut finish. Circa 1985 as per S/Ns on tags. Cabinet fronts in nice condition, tops and sides fair. These have the Bob Crites AL-3 crossovers along with CT125 tweeters. New gks on midrange drivers and original parts also included in sale. Pick up will be necessary=Asking 1500.00. Located in the central part of Va. Thanks for looking..
