Yes thats what ive read as well, but is it that significant in sound quality?
What are you trying to replace with what and in what speaker?

k-27 is a couple db less efficient and I believe uses an 8ohm voice coil

Looks like I would like those better.
I have the original kp262 as well.
Have not heard either of the new versions, but the original are outstanding. Read they are much more musical than the newer versions

Three different versions of this line as well. Same as for the little brother 262.

With several others listening too, I have compared ABC and D tweeters, that's why I have the extra drivers. Some were close, some stood out as a little better and one pair was so much better that they won hands down.
I’ve found options b&c to sound the best…. 🤔

The 15” passive radiators are available for a reasonable price direct from klipsch..

Maybe check your other post on the same topic?

The T5000 came with the k-28 woofer and k-75 tweeter. Not sure of the crossover.
The T500 had k-24 and k-76 and heresy ii crossovers.
May have just been an honest mistake on his part.

If I remember correctly the academy is the speaker manufactured to match the quartet, forte II and chorus II. I still own 3 academys, 4 forte IIs and the quartets. They are all timbre matched. Go back about 15 years and read the post from the old members on the forum and those substitutes for the academy were discussed endlessly.
I used an academy between forte I and II for years. Always sounded small and veiled. Been using a C7 for the last couple years and there is no way I'd go back to an academy.

Klf c7 or a kv-4 would be better options

Same items that are listed on Jax facebook marketplace?

Interested. What is your asking price?

Do either of those amps have 4 or 6 ohm taps to connect the speakers to?
-
If the amps work fine with the forte, I’d suspect the Belle networks. Especially with the recent recap. Did the belle work good before the recap?
Post a couple pics of the networks.
What is the resistance measurement of each of the belle? Multimeter on the speaker input terminals..

Does that stock forte ii simulation include the 40ohm resister across the tweeter? I thought it was supposed to tame that hump.

I'm not sure why, but it appears to me that Al pushed the woofer to mid crossover from around 500hz to around 650hz. The mid to tweeter crossover was moved to 6500hz. I'd be curious if the mid can even get to 6000hz. Not sure if the woofer can get to 650hz either.
Stock forte II network has the crossovers at 650 and 7,000

A picture of both may help but, yes, condition, finish.
And location..

It’s the chorus ii /forte ii /quartet mid horn and driver. Guessing the k62 vs k61 designation adds a bugscreen molded into the horn for pro use

Klipsch will sell you a 15” Forte iii / iv passive. Buy a pair and see how they sound. Can always tune them lower by adding weight (washers work) to the back
