  1. Only in the sim world and as a fan. I play Iracing online http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLfkPntDlO8&list=PL55FD8A5F9F5FB3E2 and attend races each year. The closest I have been was doing the NASCAR experience last year at Homestead speedway which was an incredible experience driving the car. It was Tony Stewarts old car, I think from 2010. How about yourself?
  2. Good job on picking the wife, well done. Maby she picked you but either way she likes music and speakers, I like her already and I don't know her. I got lucky with the wife liking music and speakers also, from stories I have read here were already ahead of the game, that species is not all like that for sure. dtel, It took me few tries and a lot of money before finding the right wifey
  3. That's a wonderful idea. What gear are you using currently? Bill I have a Sony Dn 840 receiver with Infinity hts 20 sub and surround speakers to round out my system. Not sure what my next upgrade will be yet but a new sub and surround speakers are on list. Any suggestions are always welcome!
  4. I can attribute my smartness to bronchitis I am pretty lucky my wife loves music as much as I do, so spending on equipment is ok w her, it's usually my checking account that stops me. Thank you for the welcome everyone
  5. Hi Bill, The first thing I did after unboxing was measure but I am about half an inch short of being able to put my TV on the rc-62 but thanks for the idea. I am in Port St Lucie, about 100 Miles South of the mouse.
  6. I have always loved music and watching movies but until a few months ago I always just bought what was in the big box stores for my home set up not really knowing about the other world of higher quality set ups. I was home sick for a week a few months back and had plenty of time on the tablet while stuck on the couch so i started reading about the speakers the speakers I had at the time (Synergy F1) and bi-amping. This led me to the forums here and I started reading about the Reference line of speakers which really got me interested in upgrading. I pulled the trigger last week and bought a pair of Rf-82s and a Rc-62. I could not be happier with my set up, even my 80 year old parents like them (at a lower level of course ). We watched Lone Survivor as the first movie and the depth and quality of the sound is just amazing. My wife and I pick an hour each week and just sit and listen to one album with no phones or gadgets on. We try and pick an album the other person has not listened to in the past. Listening on the new set up has really opened our eyes about what a difference a decent set up can make, I hear things in the music I never heard before. I can only imagine what some of your set ups sound like with even better equipment. Thanks to the people on here for talking about and recommending Acoustic Sound Designs, I did call and order from them and received a great price with quick delivery.
