  1. well, say 800 hz is the very bottom of it, the snap of the head is in the 2500 hz region
  2. also, the rough curve of the 'scala's is due to the dual outlets of the horn, look at some of the ev "w" cab curves to see the same interaction .....
  3. if your thinking of punch, like the snap of a snare head that hits you in the chest, thats a 2500 hz. thing, dude ..... what are you calling "punch" ??
  4. i have some programs i use for xover/time constant .... whats the distance alignment of the drivers in the k- horn ?? bass 3 ' or so ?? how about the rest ?
  5. by the way, if i had to choose an approach with the k-horn, i would go with the infinite crossover, and a lot of watts ..... i run 1200 crown watts pc, hey, who can hear time smear at 125 db spl ??
  6. wow !! just found this forum, .... very smart people here ... your ear can hear 3ms. of time smear .... but, that doesnt mean your drivers a couple inches apart will make a difference .... the k-horn, with that long path, on the surface, would cause concern , i would tune your digital x-ovr to what pleases your ear, after all .... thats the point right ??
