  1. This is where they would go. I cleared out a spot on both sides of the bench.
  2. I hear you. He’s already corrupted me over the phone! I’m taking my wife, but she’s no help. She’s pretty laid back and knows how passionate I am about music plus I just bought her new carpet for the bedroom so I’m on my own. Wish me luck!😂
  3. I’m going down to talk to Dave in Nashville. I want to hear a pair before making any other decisions. I’ll probably leave there with a set. 😎
  4. Did you miss a lot of low end with your LS compared to the C2? If you could only keep one set, which would it be?
  5. That’s another concern. I’m very used to good deep bass out of the Chorus. I could always pair them with a horn loaded sub I guess.
  6. I’d give him sufficient time to crawl back out before I called the fire department😂
  7. I don’t have near 6,000 to spend. I would ultimately like to find a presentable pair for around 1,500.
  8. Sounds like they work in your space! That’s great to know. Nice setup too. Where is Audio Classics?
  9. Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about cornwalls too, but I still want to try a fully horn loaded speaker. I was mostly worried about this size of my room. Seems like they will work according to the posts of other members.
  10. My dad is Nick. I’m Nicholas and you have everything else spot on!😁
  11. That’s why I’d like to try them. 75% of my listening is live music. I love the chorus. I’ve just had them for a long time and have always wanted to try something new. I’ve been though a ton of amp/preamp options with them. I’ve always wanted to try tubes, but in my opinion, the Chorus sound better with a lot of clean power. I’m sure they sound good with tubes, but my experience has been better with clean high current power. I would like to try tubes with the LS.
  12. I will check out the spreadsheet and thanks for the heads up on pricing. I would love to have k-horns, but we just moved to a new house and I don’t have good corners and don’t plan on moving for a long time. I think I barely have enough room for LS’s and not optimal at that.
  13. Who doesn’t remember Luttermans? I’ve also heard a lot about the Thornbergs. My last name is Fuelling.
  14. So I’m not crazy thinking 2,000 is a little high?
  15. That is quite the haul for me. Definitely take you up on it if I’m up your way.
  16. What a small world. I grew up in Lawrence edition. I went to kings to listen, but couldn’t get any help. Looks like they are powering the speakers with low quality electronics also.
  17. Thanks for all the replies. Wvu80- I haven’t stumbled across any near that price. Found a couple decent vintage models for around 2,000. One had Crites upgrades and the upgraded tweeter. I have no problem with the LS1, I just thought the price was a little high. Jimbo- how far north of Indy are you??
  18. That’s what I was hoping to hear!! I did see that the LS2 might be a little better with bass. I’m assuming not deeper, just better because of the cabinet design? Also, what would be a fair price for a pair? I’ve seen prices all over the place. None cheap that’s for sure.
  19. Nope. I would try to get by without one, but not opposed to a sub. Would like to hear them without with some music I like.
  20. Thanks for the reply. I live in Wadesville, IN. Not many Klipsch fans or dealers around here. I’m aware I would be missing out on some low end, but everything I’ve read says the LS makes up for that in clarity. Also, I have just always wanted a pair. I think they are the coolest looking speaker. My 1st set of klipsch we’re supposed to be LS, but a guy on Craigslist sold them out from under me. I ended up with kg4’s, then Forte 2’s then Chorus 2’s. I love all of them, but now I’m in a position to revisit the LS and hopefully it will meet my needs.
  21. I’ve always wanted a pair of La Scala’s. I’ve read all the problems with bass not going low enough, but still am interested in hearing a fully horn loaded speaker. I don’t have good corners, or I would be looking for K-horns. I’m concerned that my room is too small for the La Scala to really shine. Listening room is 12x15.5 and the speakers would have to be placed on the short wall against it. I currently have Chorus 2 in this room and they sound good. They have to be pulled off the wall about 2 ft to do so. This makes their footprint much larger and I figured the LS might take up less space if pushed against the wall. I have had forte 2’s in this room and again, they had to be pulled away from the wall quite a bit to sound good. This puts the speakers in a bad place for me because I have a 4 year old that I’d rather keep out from behind them. So my questions are- 1. is my room sufficient for La Scala’s. 2. Is it an upgrade or at least a lateral move from the C2 to the LS. Thanks in advance.
  22. Quartets are are great speaker. I think they are pretty rare. Moray James has a lot of good upgrades for that. If you go with the chorus you won't be disappointed. They are my favorite klipsch speaker.
