  1. the way the waves work, those things have to be 26ft apart and you sitting 26ft away from them......they have plenty of bass and detail...but the room will never exploit the speaker system abilities.

  2. PM me if you are interested and can pick these up.

I got these from Joesporter a few years ago and since then I had them professionally re-lacquered.   All they need is some #00000 steel wool, air blasting, and a final coat of black laquer and they will be almost piano finish.

edges are clean.  no chips, cracks, seperations.

my best guess is that they are mid 90 cabs since they have the grooves inside the cabs for cast woofers.

these are just for the empty cabs.

I decided to do some DIY belles so I wont need the LaScala cabs.

I had them on craigs list and everyone wants a photo shoot as if they were college girls pole dancing wearing g-strings........these are black laquer lascalas.....plain and simple.

if you want them...PM me letting me know when you can pick them up.

no dibbs in this thread....PM me and I will decide who gets them.

    they are in zip 10305.

  3. Well its been a year or so since my last flyby.

    Its been a busy year.

My 25 year old son just won a battle with both lung cancer and lymphoma .  all the bills got paid and things look good.  He even has his hair back now.

My health finally is back on course and I am pain free.  Started running again and I am up to 1/2 mile.

I finally finished with my foundation repairs and the last 1/2 inch happened this sunday.  it took $9000 bucks worth of foam to raise the slab.  So now the cosmetics can begin.

I setup and adjusted my table saw.  I'm planning to build some Belle's and have been accumalating the parts for quite a while.

My truck is in the shop for an estimate and if the price is too high....might be undertaking and engine rebuild myself to save the labor cost.

Got rid of the Harleys.  The electro glide was too hot and bruned my legs (a post 2007 harley problem) and everyone said I looked too big for the Vrod.   So now I am riding a Yamaha venture (4 clyinder/100hp) and a yamaha VMAX (4cyl /200hp).

still working a day job, with 22 years in so I can retire at anytime.

next month makes me 58 going on 26

    stay in good health

    til the next fly by

  4. As long as we are wondering out loud here, since my TSCM K-400 throats are 2 inch, what are the thoughts on replacing the four K-55V Drivers and K-4 manifold with K-69 drivers?

    An upgrade?

And what about the dual K-77 motor tweeter arrangement?

    Roger

the correct substitute is the 1132 or 1133.   the k-69 does not have the diaphram extension needed for a driver that is expected to handle rolloffs as low as 260hz.

  5. very well handled...kudos to you.....this prevents yo-yo's on the west coast from flooding the seller with emails with their "official" appraisal comments.

you don't know how many times I ve gotton price change calls on the way to pick something up because of this.

  6. Lastly, why was the removable mounting board eventually eliminated? Was it eliminated to increase back chamber volume ever so slightly to improve k33 driver performance, or accommodate a driver specification change?

    - BeFuddledinMn

could be easier to mount the woofer on the board first, then mount the board into the cab.

  7. I tried my best to pass this stuff along.....many inquires....no one showed up....no space or time to hold any more ...so reluctantly....had to toss everything to make room for the construction project.

I kept 1 pair of lascalas and enough parts for 1 pair of belles.

    closing another chapter,

    best wishes

  8. Truth be told...someone had posted as to what was known about a handful of members during the flood.  I responded with what I was going thru...details of which included a ruptured appendix and no medical care for more than aweek due to hospitals and such being closed due to the flood.  I was running around helping folks anlong with most of the locals not relizing how bad my condition was.  ultimately go admitted but by that time most of the organs on my right side had been fused due to infection and septic condition....cant pass solid food...etc.  took about a 100K loss in property damage....lost two cars and a motorcycle due to being laid up on medication during the flood.  family barely got out....community did a poor job of waring folks, etc.

when I updated the folks who inquired as to what had happend...someone jumped in and made the comment that these tribulations could not have happened to a better person.  I was shocked by the comment and decied to delete my ID thinging something I did or said really offended the person in question.  for what ever reasom...the delete did not happen and instead my ID was renamed to ".".

that was 3 or so years ago.

Ive wonderd what happen to a large group of you guys and poped in once in a while as a lurker....its amazing how the active crowd mgrates out and new memebers take on the active roles.

health wise I am surprised I am still here...been living off baby food since that's all that can pass thru my system now.  lost a lot of weight, etc.

haven't spun a record or CD in a few years and I have some decent gear hooked up but unpowered in quite a while.

From 2005 to 2012 I spent quite some time here with varying opions that swayed from left to right and back to the left.

If something I said or did, offended anyone....my opoligies.

My current ambition is to raise money to fight cancer.  My son battled with lung cancer and ultimately was cured....he slipped away a few times but we were able to get him to hang on and he made it.

Its my personal guest now that all forms of cancer can be cured so that no one will be lost thru this dreaded condition.

the next time you pass a walk for cancer poster, see a motorcycle rally to raise money for cancer, or want to donate to an important cuase, think about helping out........lets cure this for everyone in our lifetime.

    god bless and best wishes.

  9. in NY you can have seperate policies as long as everyone is on a policy and at least 1 person has a lease or new car, and at least 1 person only needs liability.

    so lets say

dad has a truck with no loan - does not needs full coverage

mom  has a lease and needs full coverage at leasing company specified rates

then both can have seperate policies

    but

if you have mom, dad, children living with you and vehciles are shared...then your going to have to get the master policy.

be advised...its rare when a senior policy holder like you will benifet from swapping polices.....theres accident forgiveness factors that come to play with a senior policy holder that a new policy holder cant get.

  10. trade labor for klipsch stuff

    k-49 woofers

    k-260 horns

couple of tube amps..well maybe 4 or 5 tube amps

kazillions of power and pre-amp tubes

did I say speaker wire...yes..that too

no time for pic's and stories.....out working on the project...PM me with contact info  if interested and I'll get notified and reach out to you.

not going to respond to "got dibbs" and the like post to this thread.

Last year I gave away about 200lbs in drivers so trust me, this is legit.

I'm going to keep enough to make 1 pair of Belle's, the rest is going.

don't let the post count fool you....in my previous life I had 10,000+ post on this forum from 2005 thru 2012.

  11. So my internet connection is wonky for some reason. It only works here and nowhere else. Never had this problem before. It either worked or it didn't. Now my access seems to be the first site and I go to and that is it. How does it work anyway? How do all those servers shake hands and get all these people where they want to go?

all servers on the internet register their IP addresses and DNS names on a handful of DNS servers.

The DNS servers exchange their database info

when you login into your computer, your PC gets and IP address from your ISP, that IP address also contains which DNS server you will be using

when you type in a URL, you are entering a DNS name+a start web page

your PC operating system does a DNS request and gets an IP address corelation

at the transport layer, your PC sends packets with destination info that contains the target IP address

the packets have your host IP address and servers as the return address for return packets

in between you and the destination web page are whats refered to as hops

hop 1 is your router in your house, to the router at the other end of the local ISP connection

local routers hand off to regional one

on the destination side, you wind up passing thru the destination servers ISP which involves theire regional and local routers...then their gateway or border router, then the link into the data center

    these all have IP addresses

so basically, DSN gets your PC the IP address translation, the transmissions have headers and context info that says where the packet should go, who sent it, etc.

as packets pass thru the hops, each device sends an acknolwedgement to your PC that the packet was recieved.  If a destination gets a packet out of sequence, at retry command is sent to the sender to send the packet again.  once all packets get acknoldged as recieved, the next packet is sent.

about 5ms per hop, per packet.

so the core control process is the DNS tables along with the packet send, ack, recieve transmissions along each hop.

  12. so its going back up for sale.

I bought it at the buy it now price.

sent the seller an email as to when I wanted to pick up this local pickup no ship item...and said I'll pay upon pick up.

seller said no...you must pay up front....I responded...you cant do a not as discribed claim for local pickup becuase buyer picks it up and pays so no recourse if not as discribed other than dont pay and cancel transaction.  told the seller if the cab was as discribed he has nothing to worry about.

Didnt hear from seller so I decided to pay to avoid non paying bidder issues......seller refunded my money and said transaction is cancelled becuase he felt threatend with a not as discribed claim.

so yes, this is an alert for a kpt-904 cab.....but proceed with caution when this gets re-listed.
