    Just my 2 cents worth... It's been a couple of F$@&%! Up past few years....

    Wife makes it easy for me....  a month or two prior, she strategically takes the catalogs that she's been perusing, folds the page corner and circles the item.  Pretending all the time that she's just marking them for thoughts later on about buying said items.

     

    I then "stumble" onto it....and surreptitiously open the catalogs and get said items ordered in.

     

    Item arrives, I wrap them up (or give them to her early if there is a need for said item)

     

    She acts surprised on Christmas.  I act as though I was sneaky.  She is actually hiding the fact that she just got done playing me like a fiddle.....and I am actually hiding the fact that I knew all along she was playing me like a fiddle, I simply agreed to get played.

    They are used by all Shifts.... A gets off B uses it and passes it to C shift. They don't turn them off... Idle time on these vehicles is something else. Not to mention the driving abuse they take.

    I'm seriously thinking of purchasing a new 2022 vehicle......Hmmmmm.

    I don't have to buy anything...

     

    Wow!

    the new standards will prevent 3.1 billion tons of planet-warming CO2 emissions from being pumped into the atmosphere, reduce US gasoline consumption by 360 billion gallons and save US consumers money at the pump.

     

    I kinda doubt the consumer will ever see a savings...

    The Fleet argument being that the cooling sitting still is ineffective

    Water accumulation in the engine etc

    Police are believed to drive the vehicles hard for various reasons

    Rubberized floors are slippery

    - good for vomit, blood, urine etc ...

     

    In the cars

    Charger Hemi full time rear drive, 4 wheel when needed

    Taurus 3.7 smoking performance, 3x parts costs due to patents

    Full time front drive, 4 wheel when needed

    4-6 mpg better than charger

    Taurus is half the price of the Hemis, due to demand ?

     

    In the SUVs

    It's explorer vs Durango vs Tahoe and a few suburbans

     

    Any thoughts or comments ?

    Now I'm going to have to forgo listening to Queen for quite awhile, until my sketchy memory washes this assault on music from my mind.

     

    I watched it....😔

    This recipe sounds very good. I am wondering, however, about the step to cook carrots and potatoes separately until tender. The following steps include cooking the brisket after it is sliced and covered with the sauce for an additional hour in 30 minute increments. What does the additional hour of cooking time do to the vegetables that have been tenderized?

      Oh it helps to make sure the carrots and potatoes are cooked, but you can cook them just with the sauce as well, Caroline. Enjoy!
