  1. Yeah, my wife must have taken over the account for a bit.
  2. Also, the first corner of my room wasn't perfect. The Khorn would not seal to the wall. I believe this is what made the bass and midrange congested as well. There was a radiator in the way so I was about 3 inches from the wall. In their new positions they seal perfectly to the wall and everything has tightened up.
  3. Funny you ask. I just got a pair on Saturday. What I have quickly learned is they are VERY placement and room sensitive. I have a 13X19 wall. I first put them on the 13 foot wall and they sounded absolutely awful. The midrange was terribly compressed and muffled. Everything sounded like their were cotton balls in my ears Not until I moved them to the 19 foot wall did everything open up and sound the way it should. I still have to sit about 12 feet back for the imaging to be correct.
  4. @AaronB123 I sold my La Scala IIs and kept the Palladiums shortly after those pictures were taken. The palladiums have much more detail than the la scalas did. The soundstage wasn't as big as the La Scalas but it is not small by any means either. Feel free to stop by and listen to them if you are interested. I think you are in CT too right?
  5. $3400 Excellent condition! These speakers are phenomenal. I have too many sets of Klipsch and unfortunately these don't fit anymore. I have only had these for a few short months. I have the original boxes and all accessories.Local pickup only in Southbury, CT
  6. Sorry @Coytee I appreciate all the info on the jubilees but the WAF just killed it at my house. Somehow these have been deemed acceptable. Who knew? These throw an amazing articulate soundstage, I can't imagine how much better a jubilee could be. I'm sure they are better, but at the moment I am completely happy.
  7. Thanks @dtr20 I was actually thinking about your invitation to stop by when I was on my way up there this weekend. I really appreciate the offer. I just couldn't pass up this opportunity to hear AND bring home the Khorns. I knew you weren't letting yours go. I had no doubt I would like them but I had to be sure. We actually brought two SUVs. It was a long day but well worth the trip.
  8. Thank you everyone! Special thanks to @Chris A you convinced me that this would work and you were sooo right. I am going to try these on the long wall tomorrow. A very special thank you to @Edroom for making this happen!
  9. Thank you everyone for your help. Thank you especially to @Edroom Not only did I get to audition the Khorns, but I also got to bring them home with me!
  10. Thank you @Chris A I may not be able to fit them after all. Ugh. Looks like a rental van may be in order. I was really hoping it was 36"
  11. @The Dude Were you also able to fit the top hats?
  12. I am looking at purchasing a set of 1979 klipschorns. Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the speakers without the top hats. Also how tall are the top hats? I think I can get these in my Mazda CX-9 but I really want to be sure. Thanks!
  13. If I did I would definitely bring them for a ride. I have the P37s. Although they are the "smallest" floorstanders, they are pretty heavy and awkward.
  14. I would love to go the jubilee route but don't they need 2 amps and an active crossover? How much can they be purchased for?
  15. You are welcome to visit and listen to the Palladiums. They are too heavy and beautiful to carry around. :-)
  16. I would love to hear the Jubilee, but something tells me that I wouldn't be able to fit them in my living room.
  17. Is there anyone in CT willing to audition a set of Klipschorns? I have never actually heard a set in person and can't find any Klipsch dealers that actually have them on display. Thanks!
  18. @cincymat Your La Scala restoration looks incredible. How did you get the corners so perfect?
  19. I'm looking at a pair of Klipshorns that need some TLC. If I could get these for the right price how hard would these be to fix?
