I debated for months between the RP 280s and RF7iis. The RPs are awesome speakers but I didn't want to spend the money on the premiers and end up still wanting the RF7s. You can get brand new A stock rf7iis for 1900 delivered from some authorized online dealers and probably won't be thinking about upgrading for a long time.

I love the open minded conversations in this thread... Not used to that living in the south(Alabama) haha Ali, can't wait to see pics and get your thoughts on the RPs I heard them in Fryes and was impressed by them.

My 1st Klipsch speakers were the r28f and they are good speakers for the price(Black Friday discount). Compared to the rp280s or the rf7iis which I now own, there is a big difference when played at high volumes. I've only heard the rp280s in a store but was very impressed. I also have my rf7s hooked to a crown xls1502 and a Marantz receiver for a pre amp. I don't think you could go wrong with a crown amp and I would probably be careful using an insignia receiver as it may not have enough power for the r28s.
