Over the last 20 years my Yamaha R-8 has done an exceptional job powering a Heresy II Signature Series pair. More recently, having opportunities to acquire 2 R-9's, La Scalas and Klipshorns, I can say the R-9's do better than the R-8. I always loved the flat loudness feature on the R-8 and the R-9 has this as well. I strictly run with tone bypass engaged. Rolling the flat loudness allows for quick adjustments to listening conditions. I highly recommend both models.

Good luck with your sale.
I'd chunk that speaker wire if I were you.
Thanks. Chunk? It's as old as the La Scalas lol.
That old clear jacketed wire was notorious for corroding up. I think the jacket composition actually caused it.
Gotcha, thanks.! Any recommendations on gauge/style/brand? I think this stuff is 10 AWG (as is the wire on my Klipschorns).

I've had them for a while, yes. Not sure one can really replace La Scalas , but I have procured Klipshhorns. I also have Hersey II's Signature Series which got me started loving Klipsch. My wife has been urging me to sell the La Scalas. I'm more inclined to do some rearranging of furniture to better accommodate them one day when she is out of the house for a few hours.

As far as I know that is the original location and badge on my '74. The badge on my other '74 is long gone. Both are in the upper right location on the '67's
