  1. anybody out there know if the 49TXi supports front "effects" speakers?
  2. Just got my single KLF20 off the truck, as i was getting ready to destroy it noticed all my drivers on my 2 old med. oaks were higher on the motorboard to yhe top of the cabinet compared to the newer black satin one. just curious as to why that is?
  3. finally some sense in the madness i have been posting all over the place about pioneer and sunfire sounds like i may become a outlaw, thanks guys!
  4. anybody got any thing to say about outlaw's 770, 950 with Klipsch?
  5. i have heard and read the raves on the pioneer, but does anybody have or heard a sunfire ultimate?
  6. snails pace, hi. well i am waiting on a 20 to mod. it's my first time maybe i can help but bear in mind i am trying yhis myselfe for the first time. 1, i have been told by Trey Cannon that there is a slight increase in driver output but no degeration in sound quality. i have a tube tv so i am going to have to do the bucking magnet deal. dont know about plasma. if you type in HornEd on search and go down to his pic.67jpg you can see the layout of the woofers, horns etc. he told me to just take out your horns and woofers mark your wires accordingly then take a "deadhead" rubber mallet and tap on the motor board until it comes out may come out easy may take some time. then just transfer your openings onto your new piece of mfd board that you can get at lowes or home depot for $20.00 or so. then you need a router to put the step in the openings fpr your speks to sit in. flat black paint a couple 2or3 coats sanding in between coats then with liquid nail put the motorboard back in screw in your speks. and thats it. hope that helps a little bit. sounds pretty easy on paper.
  7. yeah stl klipsch said they even increase driver output a little bit. did you put them on they sound like they might be a pain?
  8. yeah!!i seen it sweeeeet! the only prolbem i got is i got a old proscan tube got to do the bucking magnet thing. sound like a good reson to spring for the 64" pioneer!
  9. picked up a single klf 20 on e-bay for $185.00 guess what i am going to do to it!!!
  10. thanks anyway for the help by the way got the last issue of sound&vision first test report with the low points as none on that pioneer set-up looks like one hell of a piece!!
  11. well years ago in a time hazey due to different substances my cousin got out of college and got a job in the automotive industry and started to pull in some serious money. he called me over one day to check out his new audio gear. well i don't remeber the the model #. but the speakers were HUGE. big woofers in the front and back they were 15" to 20" in diameter they were the first Klipsch i had ever heard. they were driven by a 1000watt Carver amp, well from then on i was hooked. to this day these, my 20's and the refrence set up at my local dealer are the only klipsch iv'e heard the ladder being the least impressive of them all. i am 95% rock and roll and i just love the legend for that. the reason for my original question is with all that being said the legend are very bright with my yamaha and i am interested in the sunfire to calm them down thinking that Bob Carver being Sunfire they might be a good match. i would love to hear others but in my area the dealers are crap and not many of my friends are gear heads like me.
  12. can't get any hits on my post sunfire &legends nobody's heard them together? in a perfect world i could bring one home and hook it up to my speakers but i doubt that happening
  13. any body out there heard any of the sunfire amps into legends? before i spend $3000.plus on a "ultimate" receiver i would like to know if the sunfire's calm the legend's down. i now have a yamaha amp and they are very bright.
  14. where you at? i responded to your e-mail got msn8 bull---- lets get together if you wnt to split 2 20's for centers
  15. how's it going guy's, thought i'd jump in here with my vast knowledge. i know enough to be dangerous. i live out in the sticks and currently have direc-tv. i have been thinking about HDTV SAT. does that receiver take the place of the HDTV receiver that you have to get with a HDTV "compatible" tv? also if you get a widescreen tv and you are watching something that is not a HDTV broadcast being that you have a HDTV receiver and dish will you still get bars on the left and right?
