oops I forgot to add the color.. I wanted to paint them black ..

Any advice on painting these?.. I was looking to paint them black.. It seems the few articles all do them little differently.. But Pretty much use a de-glosser and paint 2 coats? Any special paint to use?

After having them for 24 hrs.. No I don't think they're better. But so different and really cool to have!.. I played a bunch of styles of music on the KG 5.5. Newer election music sounded A bit boomy but old rock music sound very cool..

I don't need them yet... But how are the copy speakers they make for Klipsch?.. I found one on eBay and I have heard about Crites speakers. I don't know how they compare. At some point I will need a K-1023-k for a KG 5.5.. Btw I try to find this info on my own. But when I type anything into the search box here nothing ever comes up..

Maybe.. but I can't say for everything tho.. maybe electronic music, movies, and anything that has a really glossy production the 82's are a better fit. But I do love the 82's and think they're gold. I think I'm just kinda shocked of how thick the mid's are because I'm so use to the 82's..

I just got home with the KG 5.5.... freakin KILLER!!!!.. I can't turn them up loud because my neighbors are home.. But they have that perfect balance I have been looking for.. They sounds like a PA system!.. Now I feel like selling my RF 82's and getting another pair of these.. It's to bad they don't make them anymore..

i think i will go for it.. If they still have it... If not i will get the KG 4.5..

Does anyone know if the KG 5.5 is worth getting?.. i found one in my area.

Oh, It was a noticeable difference .. Because I can no longer get the 4.2.. I was thinking about getting the 4.5 for $175 on Sunday... The only other I can find is the 3.2's

I know there is a 25 watt difference and one of the woofers is a 8 instead of a 10.. But the KG 3.2's and the KG 4.2's must be pretty much the same?..

I wanted to get some speakers just for cranking loud rock music. These are the two I'm going to pick from. I found them locally for a good price.. These look like they are almost the same form the specs.. Is there any reason to go for the KG 4.5 Because it does take up a lot more space. For some reason I like the idea of having a 2 woofers with the KG 4.2.. Then The 1 woofer with the KG 4.5.. I do know that these aren't the best by any means.. Just 80's speakers.. I have never heard them.. But I did hear the KG 1.5 and was surprised that it wasn't to bad at all.

For some strange reason I went to post something there the other day.. And I went to copy and paste something from CL it posted a logo.. And when I went to post this today the logo is still there and it won't let me type anything.. I click in the box and it somehow blocked me from typing.. I just tried again and I can't post.. How do I move this post?

No I don't have a center yet.. I just began building.. I have a full Polk 5.1 many miles away in FL but when I heard the RF 82's I can't go back to the Polk's..

I will upgrade later, And get the best... But I want something to enjoy for watching movies now and for the holidays.. I have RF 82's for my main speakers.. I can only spend a very small amount for now.. Should I get small bookshelf Klipsch R-14m... Or I can get some monster KG 4.5's. I know Rear speakers don't need all that bass and volume but I can put them on the small setting.. Or do you think that is a bad match.. Of course both of these aren't preferred and all you audiophiles are sickened by thee injustice.. But I just want anything for the next 3 weeks...

Oh ok, good to know!.. Do you have any idea what the RS 41's go for new?.. I can't find a new price anywhere.. I didn't know if $200 is a ok deal?

I found used Klipsch Reference Surround Speakers RS-41 II for $200 will those work?

I'm planing on getting the Forte's I or II I don't know which one is better... I heard them at a friends house in 1993 and they blew my mind! But what is another Klipsch speaker that can handle LOTS of bass and volume.. kinda like the next step up maybe.. But with out getting to big Like Cornwall III or the klipschhorn.. Something I could fit in a hatch back..

Cool... That guy scared the crap out me.. Because I didn't see how to adjust the EQ. And he said that's how they make them now.

Oh thank god!.. Cool because when I was looking they don't have the round knobs on any new ones... I was in a store and was looking at a Denon and the guy said there wasn't a EQ. But I haven't got to try anything out in 7 yrs.. But online they don't seem to make knobs you can twist for 5.1's only 2 channel.. i guess they call it tone control and you have to go into a menu.. And did away with the knobs like these.

I'm surprised I can't find a new receiver with a bass and treble knob!?... I guess because home theater has taken over?.. I would never use a flat receiver because I don't use a sub.. My Klipsch have more than enough bass and my Yamaha even has a Bass extension.. It's looks like I have to buy a 5-8 yr old receiver to replace what I have now?

I'm in Maine.. I won't be able to get one for a few weeks..
