So the Flynn case was just dropped. It surely exposed the nasty side of what police do.
Just reminded me of when this happened
Michael Cohen to be released from prison early over COVID-19

and then shortly after this happened

I know that means something (I think). I just don't know what. How do you yell at him to come home for dinner?
the X stands for "the unknown variable," that Æ is her "elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artifical intelligence)," and that A-12 is the precursor to her and Musk's favorite aircraft, the SR-71 Blackbird.

How do you pronounce that?
the name is pronounced like the letters X, A, and I. So if you were saying it all in one go, you'd say "ecks aye eye."

From your link:
Read the takeaway points very carefully. Nothing says face coverings don't work. It says cloth coverings are recommended. It also says they are not substitutes for distancing, washing hands, etc.
Yup. And I am not giving up my stockpile of N-95's to anyone. I knew this day was coming, and their lack of planning is not my emergency.
Link is from 4/1, so new information previously posted has additional meaning

Exactly what I have been saying and thinking all along through this.
Quote:
"It's hard to pinpoint how many of us are clueless and careless -- maybe half of those who go outside? A third? Some other fraction? -- but it's certainly way too many.
The lack of empathy is jarring. We need a shift.
We need our leaders -- all of them -- to get the message out loud and clear. If you are away from the closed system of your home, the message should say, you must wear a mask. That means, too, employers mandating that workers of all kinds mask up. Do they want the disease spread to subside; do they want business and the economy to eventually come back -- or don't they?" cont...

In life there are 2 rules that apply to any individuals inappropriate behavior.
1) The rule of I did not know
2) The rule of I did not care
every other answer explaining said behavior is an excuse that leads to one of the 2 rules being the underlying root cause. Even the excuse of "I can't" applies, because at that point, a choice has still been made.

as I stated earlier, it must be exhausting. But, I hope your efforts keep you well. I'm exceedingly happy that my children are grown, I'd hate to have to go out to work and worry about bringing the virus home to them (which is the reality for so many) and my hat is off to them.
Exhausting, no. Small sacrifices to protect others VS knowing I could have potentially caused the suffering or death of another. That is the decision we all have to make. That is how simple it is. How selfish are we?

Since your wife works in hospitals, what precautions does she take when coming home? My buddy's wife is a nurse and (for YEARS) will not come into the house wearing her work shoes. She said the hospital floors are so dirty and her kids were crawling on their living room floors, so she didn't want to wear her work shoes at home. She takes them off in the garage. Now in the time of the Corona Virus, he said she makes him remove his shoes and spray then with Lysol before he enters the house.
I just read this morning an article telling us not to wear our shoes in the house, change clothes and immediately wash them after we've been out in public. Wash your food, wear gloves ... it's all rather exhausting and frustrating when one says one thing and another says the opposite. And these days, anyone that has ever driven by a hospital is suddenly a virologist.
Exactly what I do every time I go out and come back home. Been doing that for the past 6 weeks. I do have professional training though, so I do understand the risks and the controls necessary to protect others and myself from contamination from exposure whether it be an infectious disease, or an harmful material. WHERE'S THE BEEF?
18% of Wendy's are out of beef
I don't eat there myself, but some Wendy's will stop selling hamburgers.
Not even possible a company like that is making that kind of decision because they want to share food resources.

Allowing food processing plants to shut down completely is analogous to allowing the NYPD or the military to shut down. If you think deaths from the virus are high, wait until there is no food in the stores and rioting and looting takes place across country. I would take my chances with the virus over that anytime.

China's disappeared: At least one is dead and the rest haven't been heard from in months, so why isn't the world asking what happened to the brave souls who dared to speak up about the coronavirus outbreak after Beijing lied to the world?
China's post-pandemic power grab: Beijing is desperate to overtake America as the world's economic superpower - and with the West brought to its knees by the virus, who can stop it
