Sure it has 227 HP (250 if you hollow out the converter) but the raw overhead power just isn't there. Outhandling... yeah, I'll give it that... no American muscle car was deisgned for rally racing nor AWD. And you are 100% correct -- it's what you like, not what other people think. I mean honestly... you can brag all you want about specs, but how often are you going to be able to drive a car to its full potential? Ooooooh you put an oversized exhaust on your Honda and it sounds like a 2-stroke lawnmower, I'm so impressed. Then you have to mash the brakes so you don't run the red light. Bet you go through brake pads like a mofo. Performance is nice but looks come out ahead 9 times out of 10 if you're out to impress. Hehehe @ trailer park car! 2. Almost forgot... saw The Fugitive in the theater when it came out in '93 ... and the train wreck scene blew me away. Viewed it again on DVD... still rocks. Some good shotgun effects on the prison bus, too. Not exactly an "action" movie but it has some good moments. ------------------ SMI SiS 645 Ultra Intel P4 PGA478 1.8GHz Corsair 512MB 2100 DDR333 IBM Deskstar 80GB 7200RPM Gainward GF2 Ti-500XP 64MB DDR SB Audigy Plat. Blade 2 is coming out this summer with Wesley Snipes again. Obviously, the preview showed about 50 clips all 1 second in length so you can't really tell much about it, though he did seem to have a small army with him this time. Love that opening rave scene with New Order's 'Confusion' pounding to the action. Mmmmmm good stuff. ------------------ SMI SiS 645 Ultra Intel P4 1.8GHz Corsair 512MB DDR333 IBM Deskstar 80GB 7200RPM Gainward GF2 Ti-500XP SB Audigy Plat Ex - Klipsch PM 5.1 Plextor 24x10x40; Sony 52x C.Labs 56k v92 =)
  4. The Superbit versions are esp nice... good call on The Fifth Element. Lots of ambient pseudo-technoir background music plus it features the largest controlled indoor explosion ever -- plus the aria by the Diva -- lots of highs; crystallic. Obviously T2 and The Matrix are going to be in there, so I won't mention any already posted. Blade Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Alien Trilogy I know there are a lot more movies with superb sound, but I haven't been able to experience them on DVD yet. ------------------ SMI SiS 645 Ultra Intel P4 1.8GHz Corsair 512MB DDR333 IBM Deskstar 80GB 7200RPM Gainward GF2 Ti-500XP SB Audigy Plat Ex - Klipsch PM 5.1 Plextor 24x10x40; Sony 52x C.Labs 56k v92 =)
  5. #1 ... solely because you get double the RAM and it's DDR on top of that. BUT I would suggest building your own. I'd never buy proprietary again ('cept maybe IBM Intellistation Z-Pro; work paid for that). I'd look at what you really want out of a system, component-by-component and go from there. When you get down to it, all you are really buying from these proprietary companies is some software, and a crap mobo + case. Oh, and loads of integrated systemware. Blah. ------------------ SMI SiS 645 Ultra Intel P4 1.8GHz Corsair 512MB DDR333 IBM Deskstar 80GB 7200RPM Gainward GF2 Ti-500XP SB Audigy Plat Ex - Klipsch PM 5.1 Plextor 24x10x40; Sony 52x C.Labs 56k v92 =)
