Our Family went from being middle class money wise to lower middle class after dad died and B&W shut down. We never missed a meal and Mom was a great cook but I don’t know how she did it. I used to love potato patties. And remember the Chinese meals that came with the dry noodles in another can taped to the top? I love you Mom and Dad!

    They still make it.

  3. I loved those nasty Torino’s pizzas. Mom would add some extra cheese, and ground beef sometimes. She would fix it on Saturday night for me with a Pepsi to watch tales from the tomb. No wonder I love nightmares.

they make the generic drugs  -------mostly , cheap labor ------they close the factories in the USA , to save money , then they cut jobs , and send the product back into the USA ---for us to use -----------sucks but all in the name of the Buck -------dont blame China ---------blame the greedy who could not care less about American workers

Yes they make the generics and thats about all you can get thru your insurance. I don't blame china  either. It just should not be allowed to happen.

  5. I never really had to skimp money wise thank god after getting out on my own, but easy was nice and cheap was good due to spending money on smart things. Weed, beer strippers etc. I used to like mac and cheese with hotdogs cut up in it, Or what I call hillbilly chili. Just beans, tomato sauce, and some ground beef. Added onions if going all out. We would go camping and take a few cases of campbells soup.  And a lot of beer. Ramian noodles aren't bad, if you can take the salt. sardines are not bad either. My dad and I would eat the nasty old vienna sausages, and potted meat when I was a kid. And then theres spam!

are doing shift work? That makes for continual "jet lag".

I presume you have tried white noise generators?

Seems like you have a lot on your mind. Problems to solve. Is there any one thing you can resolve that will ease your stress?

Haven't read the whole thread and I will assume that exercise and a dose of endorphins [sex] has been suggested? Men are [in]famous for rolling over and playing dead....

I have worked shift work most of my life. 36 years in all. Hopefully less than two years from being done.

  8. I have lost 20 pounds! Eating steel cut oats for breakfast and it really keeps you full. Add some ground flax, and a teaspoon of maple syrup, with a small amount of milk. Trying to eat clean with 0 processed food for 3 months. Low salt and sugar, and nothing that says natural or artificial flavors. I’m down from 248 to 228 and trying to get below 220 so my doctor will take obese off my chart. I’m feeling better every day but do cheat one day a week. I’m eating meat or chicken or fish one time a day. Nuts, fruits, vegetables, and very little sprouted grain bread. I’m just eating for health so I’m going to see where my weight goes. Hoping for around 190 to 200 pounds. We will see.

4 pages of posts.  Are you feeling sleepy yet?🤔

No late night drinking or snacks if you do that, that is,  or scary stories.   Play this video tonight and report back in the morning.  Your eyes are already getting heavy.😀

3 am and I was wide awake. Stayed in bed and I’m just getting up for a 12 hr shift starting at noon. I listened to this as I have others before and it helps a little. I will try a few things listed. But I have tried some of them before. I need some of that stuff they give you for a colonoscopy. That stuff is truly magical!

THIS (!) is precisely why taking hits from the bong is an absolute no-no  for me as a sleep aid. Pretty much for all intents and purposes.

    It is uncomfortably humbling, lol

IF I don’t get inspired to fabricate something from parts lying around the house, or start some other extraneous project, I reflect upon all of the things I could have done differently for the next time it happens.

Having a conscience is not all it’s cracked up to be, and impairing it just exacerbates the consequences.

I can't smoke weed because of my job.

  11. You will laugh that I wonder why I can't sleep but, lately I have enjoyed listening to scary stories before I go to sleep. I haven't been sleeping better or worse. I just enjoy nightmares lol. Scare me more than any movie I have watched. I wish you could record them. Someday we will im sure.

    Thanks for the complement!

I thought that name sounded familiar. I've stumbled across some of his videos on YouTube in the past. That's one heck of a theater system. I knew he was in Florida, but not literally right next door.

I have family in Lakeland. And my brother is going to move there also. He lives in Winter haven right now. I really like your system!

I think you have described "worry"  and the benefits of being a responsible person

    prayer/meditation can be useful.

My problem is I think of all the things I can and can't change. I treat others well. I just screw up from time to time . Im getting better, but far from perfect. Life gets hard if you live long enough. But all in all i am a happy person.
