I'm sure someone local would love to have them for that price.

I wish I could like this twice for the full Marvel room.

I wonder how difficult it is to get shipping with these things. I saw some a pair of RS-3ii for $75. My local guy was selling a pair of RS-3s for $150.

A good looking pair of RF-83s are up for purchase in Northern VA. No affiliation.

I just picked up a pair and they sound great.

I picked up the pair of RB-3s yesterday for $80 and they will be added to the setup. Although, I need to buy new stands since my old ones are built for satellites. These things are bigger than I had expected.

If you are local, the Frys deal is back. It's days only 1 per customer but there's ways around that. If you need an extra code, I can give mine. Just let me know.

In addition, the R-25C is also selling for half price in case anyone wanted to know.

This PJ + DM's screen seems like the perfect combination.

Good luck with the sale. Too far for me though.

No Affiliation. I wish I could check it out myself.

I was going to ask this question, not with mismatched brands but with subs that fire in different directions. Do the same rules apply? I currently have a SW-450 and I'm looking at buying something else. The 450 fires down, so should I look for another down firing sub?

Take a look at my family room rig. A pair of Klipsch RT-10ds in the corners, SVS SB13 Plus on the left side and a Revel B15 on the left side. I will not tell it was quick and easy to integrate but through several hours/days of trial and error, I think I got it "right". The photo below is when I had the fifth sub, RSW-10d before I moved it to the living room.

I agree that they will end up being resold sooner or later. This would be similar to all of these R-28Fs that are popping up. There's aboutt 4 posts on the Richmond, Va CL for R-28Fs unopened in their boxes.

I have the RB-51s, honestly as rear surrounds they'll keep up as long as they aren't WAY back.
But the RB-61s are on sale now everywhere too, that would be a really nice pair for the back and they are front ported
I would have loved to catch that Fry's deal for the RB-61s but I didn't even notice it in the Alerts section. So I'm keeping my eyes open in case something happens before I negotiate a deal for the RB-3s.

Looks like what I'm putting together. Deal is about the same too. Nice!
-
Thanks. I think that will be the route I'll take.
-
I've been eyeing some RS-7s for surrounds so if I get those will the 3s be able to keep up on the back end?

There is a difference between RB-5 and RB-51. RB-51 is a lower end speaker.
Yeah, I think I'm going to just roll with the 3s. More than half the price and better specs.

The 3s seem to have better specs than the 51s.

Yeah, I tried to get them but my PM didn't go through so I missed out.

As I continue to upgrade my setup, I'm planning on placing bookshelf speakers in the rear. My front end consists of RF-7s and a RC-7. Amazon is selling the RB-51 ii for 199 while I can get a used RB-3 for around 80. Should I just go for the bigger driver speaker? Is the RB-3 actually timbre matched to my current setup.

Cool.

I was actually wondering the same thing myself. Especially when you see how they compare to the cabinet behind them.
