Put a towel under each one if on a hardwood floor and they are VERY easy to move without scratching anything or hurting your back. Good luck with sale. Your husband has great taste

Take pictures from all angles. Use the low quality setting on your phone, limit is 2mb. Post them in the for sale section and feel free to ask a couple veterans to PM you with a fair price. Providing a phone number if they are nice and priced well and they will more than likely move quickly. Us audio mart is another free and great place to post if you don't get hits here.

To tinker or not to tinker....

5 years ago... Probably not.

Whoa... 30 foot pair. The more economical and better sounding may have been to use a longer length of Interconnects, balanced if possible, and shorter run of speaker cable. But, if it sounds good, it is good. I like mogami Gold for Interconnects. Reasonably priced and they sound great to me after testing many different models and brand over the years.

I'm with you on that one. Type 8 from audio advisor is $200 for an 8' pair delivered. It is the best reasonably priced cable I have found that I enjoy. I use the same cables as you and they get my stamp of approval. Won't be changing them in my setup either.

I also don't believe that the tweeter magically was blown by him turning on his setup with zero audible clicks, pops or abnormal noises from his amp and Preamp turned on in correct sequence
-
That is correct, but according to him, he rarely listened above low volumes as his wife couldn't stand them in the first place.
-
On a side note, small story for this thread. I bought a pair of klipschorns from a gentleman who had spent quite a large amount of money in cables, amps and TT/ other sources, all PREMIUM. However, within about 5 seconds, I could hear that one tweeter was blown. I pointed it out, he had been using them for years and had no idea....

If you want to try the difference for yourself, audio advisor sells all kinds of single or biwire cables and you have 30 days to return it free of restocking fees. I biwire mine with audio quest type 8 cable, only because it was the same price as the single wire run. When I experimented in the past side by side, I heard SUBTLE but audible difference on a pair of Dali Ikon 6 speakers. I am not a cable naysayer, but I don't believe in multi thousand dollar cables either. A quality set of speakers IMO can benefit from a reasonably priced set of quality cables

I'm with that fad and always will be, but only if that bass is deep, fast and tight and integrates well with the mains. If it adds to the experience positively, love it. If the sub constantly calls attention to itself, I'd rather be without it.

Spot on in my case. Bass on the speakers closer to the back wall increases notably but started to sound a bit bloated and boomy. You may be surprised how low in the bass these dig, I certainly am from time to time.
-
Mine are two feet away from the back wall and they have solid bass. The closer to the back wall your listening position is, the more bass is reinforced as well. They are not bass heavy speakers, but they certainly have great bass output in my opinion. Never once listening to to them have I ever get the need for a touch of eq

Stunners. I hope it sounds great but I'm with Shakey.... That is extremely close together. I was forced to have them 5 feet apart in my room and they had much better imaging at 6. 5 feet apart but I couldn't leave them like that. Either way, ENJOY!

Crites sells risera for them. Listen without the grilles unless you have kids or animals 😀

The bass on the heresys is actually quite quick and punchy given the sealed cabinet. I have had a couple of my buddies comment on that in particular. They know I'm a junky and like to try out quite a bit of gear. To each his or her own, but these speakers have not only impressed myself, but several others that have heard them as well.

If I decide to let them go for that, you will be first to know

Did you see them in person?
