  1. I can add more pictures if need be. The Bookshelves are pristine. The first sub shown is the one that is boogered up the most. The other one with the scratches arent that bad. The flash combined with the shinny viynl really pop. Under normal lighting it isnt that bad same goes for the first sub.
  2. Just upgraded my L & R speakers and subs. I no longer have room for these guys. These bookshelves actually sound really good, and the subs complimented them well enough. Klipsch RB-81 ii Bookshelf Speakers(Pair) 9.5/10 Cosmetically (Probably 10's but 9.5 to be safe, no visible damage, scuffs, scratches or blemishes) - $420 Klipsch R-12SW Subwoofer - 9/10 Cosmetically (Few Scratches on top, can't see them 2 feet away) - $200 Klipsch R-12SW Subwoofer - 8/10 Cosmetically (Few Scratches on top, ding on top rear corner) - $180 Prefer local pickup, but I am willing to ship them($25/item). I am in Indiana (47012). I will take Paypal, Cash, or Cleared Check. I can sell the subs separately, but the bookshelves will be sold as a pair. I have the original packaging for all but one of the subs. All items are less than a year old. I like the community here and figured I would offer them up here before I put them up on Ebay. I understand I have a low post count and not much of a history here so I can be flexible based upon your history. You can check my Ebay history by looking up user ID is 2015uspeug. I will post some pictures later tonight when I get home from work 5PM EST.
  3. I am still pretty new to all of this and have a lot to learn. I have a pretty basic setup compared to most of you. RB-81's up front with an RC-62 center, RS-42's and R-15M's doing sides and rears, and R12-SW subs. I plan to get RP-280's w/RP-450C here shortly. I am currently powering it all with a Denon AVR-X4000. Would the Parasound Amp give me some extra leg room? I do notice that if I am listening to 81's and subs in stereo the power is there and it sounds good. Switch it over to all 7 speakers its bogged down. I dont listen to the music in surround mode, I can just tell there is a difference in available power. This makes me wonder what I am missing when watching movies or will be missing once I switch over to the RP-280's and RP-450C. RB-81's would go to the rear and good bye R-15M's. If I could let the Denon do the front stage and allow the amp to do the rest would I see some gains? Thanks.
  4. I can get about 3-4 feet from the wall without too much headache. I have already purchased the RS42's and the RB61's. I chose the 61's because I like the forward port. That way I can have them as close to the wall as possible. Thanks for the advice all!
  5. Thank you! Yes, I only have 1 row and your suggestions look spot on for what I was thinking. Also are you saying my 7.1 setup is less than ideal? or should I focus on the 5.1?
  6. I was thinking something like this... This sound about right?
  7. Hello All, Long time lurker first time post. My sound knowledge is fairly noobish so do your best to break it down Barney Style for me. I finally came across some money to update and replace my old and embarrassing home theater system. I recently moved into a new house and have a fairly small space to work with. Our sound system is used for 25% music 75% movies/TV. I have always liked the looks of the Klipsch speakers and I was able to demo them. Once that was over I just had to get some! I just recently purchased a pair of RB-81 ii's (L & R), RC-62 ii (Center), and a R-12SW (Sub). I also have a Denon AVR-X4000 receiver. The sound is incredible. I don't really have the sound vocabulary to describe it. The Audyssey setup was really easy and I dialed in my 3.1 setup relatively easy. I would now like to add some rear speakers. I would also like some side speakers if you guys think it would be beneficial. Currently there is wiring for a 7.1 system; however, I am not sure there is enough space for that? What do you guys think? Also I am not sure the pre-wiring is in the most ideal locations. I drew a rudimentary drawing of how my room is setup. I need to get something bookshelf in size to cut down on the WAF. The RB-81 ii's were almost too big for her taste. Anything smaller than those would work. If you guys have any suggestions for bookshelf speakers or surrounds I would greatly appreciate your advice. I am not sure what speakers would compliment/match my current arrangement. Thank you in advance.
