1. I have a pair of Chorus I's with crites TI diaphragms and I think they sound very good. I also have a pair of Forte ii and KG4.2. I can deff say that both those can extend down into the lower frequencies better because of the passive radiators. Thinking about extending the "vents" on the chorus' for power tuning, my goal would be around 32-35hz and then I think they would sound much better. I listen to a wide variety of music, classic rock, alternative, country, hip hop, R&B, EDM/electronic so I think I would benefit from the mod. And it could be reversible if needed. But great choice on speakers, I think you'll love them, the highs and Midrange sound so lively a whole different monster compared to my others [emoji106]

2. If not before, you now qualify as a Klijpch Super Road Tripper:emotion-21:
Haha yes. Last night I was up in NY for heresy II's that I scored for 200. Although theyre not in the best condition and one woofer had been replaced with a similar square magnet one with no branding.. But I'm going to fix them up and find room for them somewhere.

4. Yes! Hope you get these:emotion-21:
Waiting for the seller to get back to me about his availability to pick them up! In the mean time I found a really cool vintage audio shop local (7 miles away) to me. I popped in. He had belles (3k), chorus 2 (900), quartet (forgot price) and heresy I (500). I finally got to listen to the chorus and heresy's. I am very surprised by the heresy actually.. Very life like, live sounding speaker. Similar to the liveliness of B&W Cm10. They would need more punch for me so a sub would deff be needed. But the chorus sounded very good overall. Excited to pick these chorus 1s up..

5. Not affiliated with the seller, briefly spoke to him about them. They have been repainted/stained. Not sure if this is a reasonable price? They got crites TI tweet diaphragms.

I am interested in these, bout a 3 hour ride. I got Forte II's in my basement but looking for something different (love the Forte'no doubt) for 2 channel upstairs living room.

6. His real email address is hidden though CL, but you can send to him with this: krcjq-6363674310@sale.craigslist.org  [emoji4]

His price went up to $575.

Jachko, you are gonna just need to keep looking. I'd widen my list some though. If you'd like Forte's you'd like Chorus and Cornwalls too. These 4.2's are good speakers at $150. I use them in my main HT and I don't have a single complaint: https://providence.craigslist.org/ele/d/set-of-two-klipsch-speakers/6335794100.html

These say $400 OBO Forte II's: https://newlondon.craigslist.org/ele/d/klipsch-forte-ii/6300603733.html

These look nice: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Forte-Main-Stereo-Speakers/122778918700?epid=79639493&hash=item1c96319f2c:g:6fIAAOSwj9dZ2nJZ

The listing in New London.. One has a different woofer he said and so so shape. I thought about offering him something low like 300 maybe less but didn't bother lol. Some else try? He said he's not sure what brand woofer was used either lol. Sounds like he got hand me downs or something of that..

Also I own Forte ii and KG4.2, I use the KGs for music mainly and some TV in my room. While the Forte ii are for the same in my basement. The Forte ii are completely different animal. Much more liveliness and more natural sounding. But the KGs for that priced I'd say is a good deal. They are very good speakers. KGs have great bass response and good top end, but not as bright as the Fortes. The Fortes produce a much more live type of sound when compared to the KGs. Obviously they're not in the same category.. But I'd go with the Fortes for sure. KGs would be another solid alternative for main speakers no doubt.

7. Not really. But i don't know how else to say it since i bought it off a person that got it from Sony.  So it was new in the box, but never used.  But i got it 2nd hand.

Hooked up the Sammy 8500 UHD player and looked at Planet earth 2 and i don't wanna ever see 1080p again.

Should watch 13 hours in benghazi in 4k on it. Unreal..

8. So I found a pair of KG2's (with passive on the back) somewhat local for $100 couldn't really tell condition of the cabinets because the poster didn't post any of them. But did post pics of the drivers, all in very good shape. They're about 2.5hrs away. Maybe I can shoot him an offer. Almost cheap enough to say why not? Not sure where I would be putting them since I am running out of room haha. Also does Crites offer any upgrades for these speakers? Didn't see anything on the site.. What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards getting them, maybe putting them in my heated garage or something, to use when I'm washing or working on my cars.

9. Great front 3 set up. I had that for a long time and was very happy. In a perfect world another pair of Forte IIs if you have the space. I'd give the KG4.2s a go since already in the house. Always fun to get new speakers for a 2-channel set up. Maybe a set of Heresies for 2-channel!?!?

Yeah maybe haha. Don't have a whole lot of more width in my room though haha. I was looking at some ksb3 or ksb2 as well..

10. What's up all! I'm building/redoing my 5.1 system, I currently have Klipsch Forte ii as fronts along with a Academy center. I have a mirage 8 inch sub, and mirage omni sats that I will be changing out with Klipsch speakers. I'm mainly concerned about what to use for my rears.. I have a pair of KG4.2 that will fit as rear speakers but that may be a waste? Currently they're in my bedroom being used for 2channel audio. If I moved them to my "theater" room then I would get something better in my room. What do you guys suggest? I thought about getting the RP-150M bookshelfs. As for the sub, I'm getting a R-115SW.

11. Gratz on the Forte IIs, I got mine just a few weeks ago hooked up to Peachtree pre and 220amp. They are hands down the best sounding speakers I've owned so far. At some point you may want to consider upgrading the crossovers. And there are alot of mods for them you can find on here. I have not tried any of the mods yet but will be building a pair of custom stands to raise the mids closer to ear level.
Enjoy

Yes I will more than likely upgrade the crossovers and tweet diaphragms. I did already order a set of new crites woofer replacements. I notices certain low frequencies sound funny on one of them so I figured I'll change them in pairs. I'll be doing the tweets next cause I've read some good stuff. They already sound great but if they can sound even better, fantastic. I'm going to be building my own grilles soon as well for them.
