  1. FYI ... guy is not a great communicator May take several tries
  2. Seller I got these 904's from also has about a dozen drivers for 904's. And ... THREE PAIR of 402/510's. Most in better shape than the pics; a couple look brand new. And he is willing to make a deal ... offered me a pair for $1000 - but had no more room in my SUV Guy seems honest; think he is from Thailand.
  3. Visited this seller yesterday ... got a pair of 904's. YES; he has THREE PAIR of 402/510's. Most in better shape than the pics; a couple look brand new. And he is willing to make a deal ... offered me a pair for $1000 - but had no more room in my SUV Guy seems honest; think he is from Thailand. Also has misc Pro equipment, such as many, many sets of driver's for the 904's. Cheers, Emile
  4. Just had to "share this." Played the Halleluja churus, Jim Hendrix, Chuck Mangione, and a couple of "others." But ... just now playing Beethoven's Ninth .. Alle menschen werden Bruder (Maazal, Cleveland Orchestra)on my "new" KPT-904's. OK; at 85dB's Holy sh*t ... unbelievable! Yes; these Pro speakers are awesome! Cheers, Emile
  5. Thanks a lot! Awesome! Listening right now to Itzhak Perlman's Paganini Violin Concerto #1 And thanks a lot for all your valuable input and support! Thanks! Cheers, Emile
  6. Yeah; think so Just twisted some in/out connections and think it sounds awesome Thanks, Emile
  7. Hearing new sounds I never got from my Cornwall's or Forte's Try this album ... old, but awesome!
  8. cont'd @moray james @richieb, @The Dude, and EVERYONE else ... sorry if I forgot to thank you personally AWESOME! Suggest anyone who is looking for "better sound" to check out these (and other) Klipsch Pro speakers. Just AWESOME! Celebrating with another bottle of wine Cheers, Emile
  9. Running the KPT-904's on a Marantz 2252B. (Will try my VTA tube amp later). Barely on ... maybe 20% ... and get 80dB 10' away on "my couch." Thought I had a good system with Cornwall's, Forte's and a bunch of KG's (and have tried Khorns and LaScala's). NO COMPARISON! Thanks a lot to @Scrappydue , @teaman , @rockhound , @HPower , @CECAA850
  10. Just wanted to see if woofers were connected to each other ... meaning no 3-way. Thanks, Emile
  11. Jeez ... hooked up the second speaker (per my best guess ).Playing the Hallelujah chorus ... tears in my eyes ... just awesome Crystal clear sound ... can hear EVERY note! OK; wife is getting sick of my selection ... trying Chuck Mangione next ... followed by Jimi Hendrix ... then Beethoven's Ninth
  12. 0 ohms on +/+ to both woofers ... i.e. connected
  13. WOW ... hooked up the "other" speaker (with the internal xo board). AWESOME! Blows my Cornwall's away! Guess I'll open it up to see the connections Cheers, Emile
  14. Nah Pretty sure the woofers are connected "together." Get 0 ohms between top/bottom woofer. Thanks, Emile
  15. black wires (with green connectors on xo board) are cut ... yes; assume these went to the horn, but ???
  16. Sorry Have not even figured out how to hook them up yet (see above). 4 hour roundtrip to pick them up ... don't want to blow something
  17. HELP How do I hook these up??? One box ( see pic) has xo "outside." Connector block has "top woofer" and "bottom woofer" connections. "Top woofer" is connected to both inside woofers (assume; did not open the box up). Top woofer also connected to xo board as "-W/+W" (xo board 2nd "direct" connection.) "Bottom woofer" also connected to xo board as "-HIN/+HIN" and "_LIN/+LIN." (xo board terminal sets 1 and 4). "Bottom woofer" on connector board has a wire ... which is cut. Third connector set on xo board has a wire which is cut. No wire on horn. Help ... thanks a lot
  18. If I don't like them you can pick them up in St. Pete.
  19. Think I'll put the horn in a seperate box (same width/depth, open back) and put it on top - similar to Khorns or LaScala's.
  20. Yeah ... my wife has no problem with me spending $1000 or whatever The "equality" is that she will now do some shopping and spend $3000. $1=$3
  21. You are "SMOOTH." I'll give her your phone number
  22. OK All ... picking up this set of 904's tomorrow in Orlando, FL - about 2 hrs away from me. or ? So, have 2 MAJOR problems ... 1. How do i tell my wife? (Got a pair of Forte's about a month ago and was able to "smuggle" those in ... but these are a bit larger.) And, 2. Think I want to walnut veneer them and maybe a separate box for the 510's. Have "veneered" before, but never "rounded" edges ... any thoughts? (Do like Mike's and richieb's "automotive" finish, but don't think my wife will approve.) Many thanks to all! Cheers, Emile
  23. @Scrappydue, @carlthess40, @teaman, @rockhound . Thank you all for the great advise. Just made the seller an offer and will let everyone know Cheers, Emile
  24. Thanks all ... signing off for the night. Back tomorrow. Cheers, Emile
