  1. This is is the second time I heard CF-3 ousting KLF-30’s this week. A buddy has owned the KLF-30’s and picked up CF-3’s and immediately thought the CF sounded better. When I sought after either a KLF-30 or CF-4 it took a year before a set of CF-3’s surfaced locally. I mean 4 hours one way local. Point is - like mustang said, consider CF-3 I don’t have any comparison as I’ve only owned CF-3, but it seems that bigger speakers don’t always mean bigger sound.

    JBL L100

8 hours north. And I’m over on budget right now. It seems like a great deal. Hope someone picks them up.

    JBL L100

I’m quite aware of what the ‘century’ line up is all about - your LaScala anolgy works. A buddy owns the Jubal. They are an awesome speaker. I find the color tones really appealing. I guess I’m a collector soughting.

    JBL L100

I know this is a Klipsch forum - there’s only a certain few old speakers that I crave. These century model JBLs leave me wanting. I need JBL speakers and a tube amp then I have to stop before I go broke. Anyways. Seems like a great deal. https://southjersey.craigslist.org/ele/d/top-quality-jbl-speakers-pair/6401775181.html
  7. The turntable holds speed, that's all I know. I'll verify operation later and update the ad's.
  8. I was real careful not to check the "buy it now" enabling box.
  9. ***UPDATE***For some reason I cannot save any images to my laptop. I took detailed photos and you can see them at this link.https://drive.google.com/open?id=1L8bNgzcNtmjUOGBPkHdmc7PBZW7n8VZLAdditionally, I hooked it up - used one of my extra cartridges, and rubbed my finger and got noise. When I went to set the platter, I noticed two tabs and wondered what the purpose. I then noticed a sticker explaining what the tabs were for. The are shipping screws for the motor. So I didn't run the unit any further. It did hold the speed for the brief time it was on. Sometimes the motor shipping screws can be reinserted, sometimes not. Ive decided not to remove the shipping screws in the event that I ship the turntable and I'm unable to reinsert them. It appears to be functional. Let me know if you have any questions. I have what appears to be a NOS Sansui SR-838 - I'll use that term 'NOS' loosely. It is in its original styrofoam packaging. It includes what appears to be its original headshell and stylus. The plastic cover has some light scratches and hazing, not typical of a used table. The black finish shows minimal hazing and one or two very light scratches. Outstanding condition - the only SR-838 table that would look nicer is one in the box unopened. I will post pictures in the next few hours when I get home. I would hold this at a high 9/9 or low 10/10 for condition only because I haven't had it in my possession since the late 70's Make offers - may trade for the right blend of cash/tube amp. http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649395769-sansui-sr838-turntable-nos/ ***Update 2*** I removed the screws. I couldn't help it. Unit is fully operational and sounds amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBhA8QX9QhY

Yes - Good call. I will update the ad to include serial #'s which will confirm the v1. I knew what to look for when I bought them thanks to this forum.
