  2. You r speakers are very efficient  so they take very little power to reach
high sound levels and for you this could be just a part of the issue.
How can you set your equipment up to change the sound to make it sound "bigger"?
With an AVR you can set the speakers into the negative numbers i.e. -4 or -5
and them that would probably reduce some midrange and treble and allow you to
turn up the volume and make the speakers "sound bigger".
You can make adjustments from there.
Yeah i undestand where you are coming from but its nit an amp issue, i think i need to play around again with the placement as i had the center image before at the right height but the clarity was off,

Even though everything is working fine and we are sure it is,

it is my opinion you do not have the settings right to create

the sound you want in your area. Yes, your equipment is perfect

and operating just as it should But the sound synergy is off.

Your goal is to make the sound bigger with out lifting your speakers.

Not louder---bigger, so you're not listening to midgets in the room.

ok fair point, so what could be causing the small center image problem, speakers not toed in correctly or speakers need to come out from the wall? or am i missing something else?

  4. Hi guys with regards to imaging, i have recently positioned my Cornwall III's and the imagining is nearly perfect apart from
The artist or singer seems to be positioned to low down, the image from the center is not ear level or above (Stevie ray vaughan sounds like a midget).

Any ideas please as im going nuts with this now after a week of intensive measurements and speaker placement

    Cheers

  5. Hey ladies and gentlemen, can i ask do the owners of Cornwall speakers generally have their speaker mostly in the corners against the wall firing down the wall or the cornwalls in the corner toed in at 45 degrees? Or any type of toe in?

    Look forward to your answers

  6. My guess is they will sound better over time, just my opinion, why I don't know. [emoji38]

They truly hand made custom speakers, and they will outlast you, even if your a teen now.  No woofer surrounds that go bad, about all you might need to do is in about 20-25 years replace the caps in the crossovers to make them sound like new again, pretty good. imo
Peace of mind and a beautiful sound, cant be bad, I'm so happy i bought these they are sublime - Truly!

  7. Yes I would and did, but to tell the truth after a couple of weeks it did sound different, my wife asked me what did I do, I did nothing, it was on Cornwall lll's also.

Was it the speakers or my ears getting use to the sound ? I have no idea.

I do this sometimes when people get new Cornwalls, want to see how they are made ?

  9. Hi thanks for the warm welcome, i had some ribbon tweeter speakers before and a friend of mine who is an ex BBC sound engineer came over to my place and run some tests for me and apparently the foam in the room is what was required, it didnt cost much so i never questioned what was needed

    He is the guru [emoji16]

Sounds amazing on all frequencies and its a dedicated room and not that big only 13ft x 10ft
