  1. Hey, you guys need to check out Course of Nature, and their album Superkala......This rocks !!!! System: Reciever - Denon AVR4802 DVD Player - DVD2800 Mains - RF5's Center - RC3 II Surrounds - (4) CS650R's for 7.1 (ceiling mounted) Subwoofer - RSW12
  2. I just recalibrated my system using Avia and my SPL meter. I turned down the sub volume and boosted the receiver pre-out to compensate. I re-engaged the Auto-on to see if it will be more effective. All my speakers are set to small, and my receiver crossover is set to 80hz, with my sub crossover switched off.
  3. The sub is hooked up with a y-adapter and both settings,(Sub and receiver) are at half level. I have tried boosting receiver levels to no avail. Just need to know if it is safe to leave powered on all the time.....
  4. I know this is a stupid question, but I am asking it in fear of burning up my equipment. I have a RSW12 sub, and the auto on feature isn't working very well. I have to Crank my Denon 4802, for it to power on. What I want to know is.....I've turned auto on to off, and have being leaving the sub powered on. Is this going to hurt it in any way, leaving it on all the time ?
  5. Honest opinions here..... Receiver - Denon AVR4802 DVD - Denon DVD2800 CD - Denon DCM270 Mains - Klipsch RF-5's Center - Klipsch RC3 II Subwoofer - Klipsch RSW12 Surrounds - Klipsch CS650 (2 pairs, offset to the right in the room, due to room dimensions, setup for 7.1) The only problem I have with the surrounds, is the fact that the left sides are right over my couch, while the right sides are 6 feet away from the couch.
  6. Will the RC3 II center channel speaker handle 60hz frequency crossover from a reciever ???
  7. I was just curious, because I know the THX "reference" level is 85dB. I adjusted for 85db at the "00" position on my volume indicator. Is that right ?
  8. I don't mean to sound stupid, but I would appreciate it if I could get an honest opinion. Is it better to balance the speakers at 75db, or 85db for the "reference" level ? Not using calibration discs, just reciever pink noise.
  9. Will the RC3 II handle the 60 hz crossover point from my Denon AVR-4802. I get the best sound from my RF5's at this setpoint. I was just wondering if I need to worry aboout the center being able to reproduce signals that low ??
  10. I have a Denon AVR-4802, that is enclosed in a cabinet with minimal clearance for air circulation. Is it recommended to run a fan behind it, or is it tolerant of heat. Just curious........ My system ---------------- Denon AVR-4802 (reciever) Denon DVD-2800 (DVD) Denon DCM-270 (CD Player) Klipsch RF-5 (Fronts) Klipsch RC3 II (Center) Klipsch RSW12 (Sub) Klipsch CS650R (Surrounds)(2 sets for 7.1)
  11. I just ordered an analog-to-digital converter, for my Denon DCM-270 CD player, since it is without a digital output. Do these devices really work, and will my Denon AVR-4802 recognize the signal as a digital input ?
  12. Also, I wanted to know if there is any way to get the sub's "Auto on" feature to react more readily ? It seems that you have to turn the reciever up a considerable way before it will fire up. Is there any harm that can come to the sub's amp, if you turn the "auto on" off, and just leave the sub powered up all the time ?
  13. Thanks guys.....I have my mains and center set to small, with the crossover on the sub disabled. I am running the sub's frequencies off the reciever, set at 80hz. The y adapter has definitely given me more output. I just bought an SPL meter and balanced my system. That seemed to help tremendously.
  14. I have just got my system 2 weeks ago, and I've noticed that the bass output of my RSW-12 is very positional. I have it set in a custom wall entertainment center. At the listening position, it puts out okay bass response, but when you move 5 feet to the right, or back, the low frequencies are just phenominal. Due to the way the room is situated, moving the sub is out of the question. I guess what I am asking is; Is there a way to change the positioning of the bass response without moving the sub ? Also, I just attached a Y-adapter to the L and R inputs on the sub. Is this recommended, or not ? My System: Reciever - Denon AVR4802 DVD - Denon DVD2800 CD - Denon DCM270 Fronts - RF-5's Center - RC3 II Rears - CS650R (4) Sub - RSW12
