Well the whole reason I'm bring this up is I'm getting a Thomas Mayer 45/2a3 amp. I'm trying to figure out how to use it. 🙄 in my main system. I'm considering a a pair of Cornwall IIIs. In the past the 45amp worked for 90% of my listening on all my 95, 98 db/m s. That 10 percent where it was lacking was when It sounded SO incredible I needed a little more.

Thanks! yeah I'm kinda new. I have an Oliver Sayes 45 Korneff amp that I tried in with my Hersey III, i thought it was great. I know people will say that all that matters. Normally I use single driver Omega speakers with that amp. They are all about the same sensitivity and all work well sitting near field which is most of my listening. And also understand that its not all about the sensitivity of the speaker. Just curious if anyone else can get away with using only 2 watts.

anyone powering their speakers with one of these? 2 watts or less?
  7. thanks! yeah hi. there is a rythmik 12inch sealed sub between the right speaker and the equipment rack. i run it kinda high i think 70-80.
  8. oh hey. I thought I recognized, and admired, this turn table and art work, from AC. cool you have the Forte III. ( i've shared a few of your other speakers) For the OG poster... I have Heresy III and a rhythmic sub and a LM210 300b set. I had a younger audio friend come over the other day and listen to a few different speakers, and he said that this was the first time he had ever heard tight bass. My room is bass trapped pretty well so maybe his experience is from the room. But in any case I' think you can never go wrong with a sub.
  9. hi guys, thanks! they are sitting on Isoacoustic stands so tweeters are aimed at me. I usually have a single driver Omega desktop speakers here but I want to try the Heresy with these electronics and it was easier than moving everything to the other room. I'm surprised how great it sounds. I would have thought I needed more than 3 feet for the sound to balance out. I love them near field. Working on a vinyl set up. ( although not to stay at the desktop,} I made the decision now i just need to make it happen.
  10. 😁 powered with a 45 korneff amp, Emia pre, holo spring dac, rythmik f8
