Thanks Ed I found an LP350, looks pretty reasonable, should I be concerned that it is in 4:3 ratio. Thanks for your replies, I'll do a little research and get back to you with feedback. Any more advice out there? I can't drop that much right now maybe $3000 to $5000 Canadian. The theater room should be ready in a months time. I would like a ceiling mount, but if I have to go with a portable one like the sony I will. I would like to figure this out before the dry wall time comes due, so I can wire everything without delay. Again thanks for any feedback. It may sound strange, but the La scalas are throatier, you know that deep down grunt. I'm going to hook them up again and compare them,(I hate dragging 123lbs around), but better to do it now, than to screw around with it after I hardwire the HT. ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas

Thanks mOOn, Hey rembemer when I had that CD skipping problem, it was the LAS, flat on the floor, combined with the sub, it shook the floor so much. Since the 7's have the floorpins, It's ok for now. Wait till I finish the theater room, La scalas and RF-7's as fronts, hehehe!! cheers Sean ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas

Sorry about the injuries. Congats on the reference series. I know it hurts the pocket, but it will make it up over time. Shake the house!!!! ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas

HornEd is right. I replaced my La Scalas with RF-7's, and with music the 7's don't even compare (sigh), but they are more accurate with HT. Luckily, I didn't sell my LAS, I' going to incorporate them into my new HT room. Heritage ROCKS. ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas

mOOn, How do you like the RSW-12? Does it keep up with the RF's. ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas

Way too much, thats $15,500 Canadian. As for the screen I was told they make cinema paint now. How much better would the screen be? ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas

OK all you maniacs out there, like me. I have deceided to go with a projector for my home theater. I need your input to choose one. I'm not poor, but I'm not a billionair either, so cost is an issue. I just carved over $5000 Canadian for the R-7 set.(excluding the sub) so the well is not full. The room it is going into I am working on now. It is 19'long x 16' wide x 8 tall. The only one I have looked at is the sony VPL-HS1, it runs around $4000 Canadian. Any and all of your input would help and be greatly appreciated.

RF-7's all the way. You're getting a smokin deal. I just paid $2600 Canadian for mine, and that was after shopping them to death. Upgrade the RC-3 as well, I paid $975 Canadian for my RC-7, so I'm sure your friend can get it for you in the mid $700 range. You will be soooo happy you did. Sean

SEB, Where did you get your sub for $670. Sean

I am going to get a new sub. I've seen most of you sound freaks(like me), have chosen the SVS ULTRA, where can I see some specs, price, etc.. Being from the year round snow covered city of Toronto, (go leafs go), I have never heard of or seen the SVS sub. I have R-7's, all around, but not the sub. It's a velodyne, not bad, but no RSW-15. Where can I see the SVS specs? Am I better off with the Klipsch sub or the SVS? thanks for any replies Sean

mOOn, that would be great. My set-up is very similar to your's, I am building a theater room in the back of the house. 19' x 16' , same vaulted ceiling. I didn't want the vaulted ceiling, but the wife wants it.(oh, it will look so beautiful), well she let me buy the 7's so she's not so bad. thanks Sean

Hey mOOn, I got my RC-7 and RS-7's to complete the set.(sub RSW-15 soon). You got your speakers balanced, just wondering if you could let me know the settings that you are at on the AVR520, eg LFRONT + or - etc... I have the AVR7000 and would like to set up the same way. I have it all balanced at 0 now. If you could let me know it would be greatly appreciated. thanks Sean

Hey guys, I got my new RF-7's yesterday, and guess what,no more cd skipping. I find them a little inferior to the La scalas in stereo mode, but more accurate in TH mode, their great. Next week I get the RC-7's and RS-7's can't wait...hehe!! Sean

Maybe it's because of my crap CD player, it's one of those sony 200 disc jobs. Sorry, I got it free. And no , my sub only mixes my drinks for me... I may go buy an HK 5 disc, or any sugestions... I want to get the HK DVD 50, anyone have it?? If so, how is it? thanks Sean

I've been looking at the sony 57" hdtv 6:9 it looks pretty sweet. I have a 37" toshiba tube, which I can't say that I've seen a better picture than, but the sony looks as good as I've seen. Sean

Guy's I've tried everything, little sponges underneath the Cd players footings, putting it in the next room, when you crank the La scalas with the velodyne sub it will skip. I've skipped a Cd two songs. No pad is going to protect it. Other than trying to suspend it some-how, I can't think of anoter way, without being ugly with your set-up. Maybe that's the the price we have to pay with house shaking sound...

Has anyone got a cure for CD's skipping at loud volumes other than the rediculous way that I am doing now. Thats with a big pillow underneath the CD changer. I know it sounds stupid, but it works. Every other thing I have tried doesn't.

I may keep them, they are great for outdoor parties. I've only had them outside once, they sound amazing from about two hundred feet away. Other than that I'm probably not going to use them. If I could get around $1700 U.S. for them I would most likely let them go. They are in great shape. Newer style black laquer. I figure if I can cover the cost of the RC-7 and the RS-7's, It might be worth it for me, since I will have no place to put them. They will be greatly missed. Sean
