  1. The S/N is also stamped on the cabinet. On the back side edge of the opening near the crossover.
  2. Nope not Tannoy ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  3. The Karlson's Sound much like my La Scala's. The main thing you would notice is they have bass response Scala's would die for. The bass drivers are 12's, old Lafayette 12's at that! ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  4. Thanks for the info! Anybody else have these? The pair I have are Fruitwood. What about "Tuny" Drivers and networks? I can't find any info on "Tuny" on the web. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  5. Help me out! I've had these forever and no one can tell me what they are. The drivers are "Tuny LTD". The pic shows them next to my Scala's, yeah there big. The woofer is angled toward the top of the cabinets. The horn tweeters are mounted in the horn shaped cutout. The quality looks much too good for home built. Yes, they sound good. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  6. Anyone have one of these? What are your thoughts? Seems to get good reviews and the price is right. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  7. Yes, Try to audition them at home and you'll see. I could not believe how bad the sound was on some models. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  8. Alpine CD, Polk's in the doors and dash, MTX amp, JBL Sub. Sounds like crap. Nothing worse than vibrating sheet metal! http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/myranger.html ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  9. Large horn speakers = Big Sound. I tried using smaller speakers with my Scala's, just did not work. My current set up is very seamless and surprisingly well voice matched.I use 2 speakers in series for my center. http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  10. Splinter "Harder to Live" on Dark Horse Records. Featuring "Hari Georgeson" on Guitar. George Harrison uses this name on Splinter LP's. I have a promo disc and it's killer with my Scala's. Splinter "The Place I Love" is great also. http://member.nifty.ne.jp/t-eban/dhspl.html ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  11. Klipsh. Lascala. Hershy. Hersy. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html This message has been edited by mpgwagon on 08-12-2002 at 05:35 PM
  12. They are finished like my 76's. Mine have cherry stain with clear lacquer. I don't think I would sell mine for any less than $2000. Nice ones are tuff to find. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  13. There was a pair of home made Khorns in our local paper for $475.00. This was about 2 months ago and the ad ran for 6 weeks! I called and was told they had Klipsch components. Most of us want the real deal. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html
  14. By all means stay with Yamaha. The Yamaha sound,IMHO, is a much better match. Not as harsh. ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/mpgwagon/audio.html This message has been edited by mpgwagon on 07-27-2002 at 03:01 PM
  15. Walked into Goodwill today and bought a near mint pair of Sansui SP-3500 speakers for $25.00. They sound very good. They even have horn tweets and mids!! Anybody know anything about these? I see they go pretty high on ebay. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
