  1. Holy crap... it rained ... sorta I think it is called a "trace" if it is too little to measure. Just enough to leave spots on the windshield. `calling for a deluge this week ,04 inches.... Build the ark. LOL
  2. Mornin' All was puttering around in the yard ... and because I don't like ear buds, I turn up the stereo...old fashion style. the AirForce is playing so noise restrictions are off. I've been cutting back some of the scrub mesquite trees. Stickery buggers, they are. Some worse than others. I would like to rid myself of them.... ya need a backhoe for that. They are tenacious. My usual way of dealing with them is to prune them up, into a tree form and let them grow out of my way.
  3. @MicroMara that pic of the Kabineroller.... at first glance, the tail light and rack on the back looked like a wind up key... LOL
  4. It's the wife's b'day. No big deal... whatever you want for dinner thing. She was waffling on dinner -- which leftovers she wanted... sheesh asked her about cake. She wanted a pie. fruit pie. decides on lemon chiffon. I wonder if she will notice I used lime to "kick it up a notch"? LOL I made a pie shell and all from scratch. Pretty easy. You do use a few bowls in the process.I used 3 bowls and a pan.The table has flour from the pie shell... Still need to make whipped cream... I pretty well trashed the kitchen. Happy Birthday, Honey! Gave you a mess in the kitchen. Don't you love it? nah nah... I cleaned it up. my b'day... she asks what I want spaghetti and fresh bread. she doesn't cook spaghetti... I let her off... because I had planned on making it anyway.
  5. the MLP is on the opposite wall.. pretty centered between the speakers... Approx 8 feet to each speaker. Speakers are 12 feet apart. The speakers are toed in 45` - 60`.... somewhere is that range
  6. yep ... 12 X 25. Sloped ceiling... speakers are "against" the high wall can I make it any worse?
  7. the acoustics of this room are not very good. When I took the R15M's from this room to the doghouse, a 12 X 12 room, the bass came out big
  8. thanx @MicroMara yes they are for the LS. The room dimensions are 12 feet X 25 feet ... with the speakers on the long wall 6 feet from the corners.... with some serious toe in. If I am looking at the diagrams you posted correctly, the false corner doesn't need to extend too far beyond the LF section to work
  9. ... and we were just having fun. Who'd have thought we were doing some [possible] good?
  10. a link to a study https://americanmigrainefoundation.org/resource-library/can-psilocybin-treat-cluster-headache/
  11. I have head that psilocybin is supposed to prevent migraine/cluster headaches.... with one of two doses per year
  12. Mornin' All because I didn't read the book How big do "corner wings"/ false corners need to be before you get the corner loading effect? ------------------------------ the forecast is calling for a chance of rain this weekend I want some of whatever drugs they are taking....
  13. I didn't watch the coronation. ---------------- I have heard of passing the buzz along by drinking the trippers urine. But, not psilocibin. A European mushroom, that is actually, mildly poisonous. What I heard... the poison gets broken down and not the hallucinogen part I still wouldn't have gone for it... I was pretty wild... I did draw the line somewhere... way before we get to drinking urine
  14. ya know that the classic picture of a mushroom ... in the fairly tales and all, is a psychedelic variety? amanita muscaria [sp?]
  15. I observed Cinco de Mayo by eating quiche that had onion, mushrooms, lots of green chiles and cheddar cheese...... A Mexican style quiche I guess that is fusion cuisine
  16. and it isn't flat here... coming into town is a 3.5 mile hill. it is/was known as "telephone hill" because you could get cell service from there... before we got our own towers. That is still touch and go, depending on who you get service from.
  17. that reminds me of the hill from Lihue to Nawiliwili on Kauai. Going down was easy, but dangerous. Passing cars and hoping a wheel doesn't disassemble. Going up...you could make it, if you didn't look to see how much further it was too the top. I had a 10ft fishing pole strapped to it, too. LOL
  18. Don't get me wrong... I had a nice bicycle... a friend built it for me... I guess I never got into the "feel the burn"...
  19. if I lived in the flatland... maybe.
  20. some of the home made tacos I have seen, were made by smearing hamburger on one half of a corn tortilla... tortillas folded with the hamburger holding the tortilla in a fold... fried until the burger was cooked. Then you added the salad and salsa
  21. It's warm in the sun.... do you have any? Things are normal chaos with me in the eye of the hurricane. I'm just "going with the flow"... don't have much choice... so why fight it. Car had a flat, when I was about to fetch the wife.... of course, I had just showered. Got to be clean for about 10 minutes. getting the wheel cover off was an adventure. I think I made some new swear words. It's made of a pliable plastic. Doesn't pop off by prying the edge. Took a while for the futility of that to set in... I see a notch in the cover and try going after that. I pried it up enough to get hold and got it off. After the fight, I got to looking at the cover. That notch allows you to get hold of a hard wire circle lock that pulls the keepers in. Easy ... when you know how.
  22. did it make a come back? I remember watching it on tv
  23. Bicycles are not too appealing to me, here. Too hilly. I did get some exercise. Dug a bed to plant basil in. ... and wondering why my back is yakking at me. clean dirt, though.
  24. Mornin'! wife is in Vegas... seems to be having fun. I haven't talked to her. I tried calling a couple times... not that I expected her to answer... come on, she's in Vegas. gonna try my hand at flour tortillas, again. The store is out of yeast. So ..... when I think about it.... it is pie dough gone bad. Too much water, not enough fat and worked to where the gluten makes the dough stretchy. drinking muddy/ish coffee. The store is out of paper filters, too. Using the gold mesh/permanent type.
