  1. I had that once wtih my RP-600M, but that was not due to the speaker or something. I have them on bi-amp true my Onkyo AVR, but the bi-amp function was shut down on my Onkyo in the settings. Don't know why that happened, but when I corrected that, the muffled sound was gone again. So either there is an issue with the metal jumpers, or you are bi amped, but not correctly, at least that is what I think.
  2. The 450C is the “old” model, the successor is the 504C or smaler one 404C, which are both from the same current Reference Premiere Line as the 500C. So if the 450C is cheaper might also be because of age. Don’t forget your RP-5000F are also the newer model with newer looks.
  3. Yes great to be of some help! Well it all depends on your needs, possibilities and setup.
  4. You could check on YouTube, Techno Dad there went from the RP-250C to the RP-450C, so the older models, but he explains quite clear why he did this to pair with his RP-8000F. Not completely a copy of your choice to make, but this might give you some extra information. Actually this convinced me that the RP-500C was the way to go for my setup.
  5. Since I’m new here and also new as a Klipsch enthousiast, it is nice to share my Home Cenima setup. Only just last week finished, for now, my rebuild and change over from Jamo to Klipsch, only the surround rear speakers are still Jamo S60 Sur and my new subwoofer is Jamo, due to the small size which was the only thing my wife would accept in our livingroom. RP-600M as front left and right, bi-amp in use RP-500C as my center Jamo S60 Sur as surround back speakers Jamo S810 as my Sub Onkyo TX-NR676E as AV Receiver Samsung 55 inch 4K tv I’m still amazed every time I play music or watch movies of the Klipsch speakers and their great sound. And to be honust, the Jamo S810 Sub has more then enough punch on -10Db on my Onkyo. RP-600M are crossed over at 60Hz, the RP-500C at 80Hz and the surround backstage at 120Hz.
  6. I don’t think It is fair to compare the R-34C with the RP-500C, 500C had much better spec’s. The RP-404C will be better probably, but how much I don’t know. Also, I wouldn’t match your RP-5000F with the R-34C, better with all your front speakers to stay in the Reference Première line.
  7. Just went for a RP-500C last week, in combination with my RP-600M. Really great combination and the RP-500C sounds absolutely superb. But, I would say it all depends on your front left and right speaker, what center is the best match.
