Fauci wasn't "caught" doing anything. There's nothing conspiratorial about GOF research or its funding. It's done fully out in the open, and all BSL-3 and BSL-4 Labs do it. It may be a
"new" virus to humans, but that doesn't mean they don't know anything about it. They've been studying it for years (along with the ones that are much worse).
Would you have such a "charitable" reaction if it had been discovered that [moderator edit, political]

None for me, thanks.

The same clown telling us we need to cue up for a government injection of "mystery fluid" has been revealed to be FUNDING the Wuhan lab where the virus originated.

Actually no, that's incorrect.

With all the inflated and miscategorized death numbers being flung at us like primate poop by the monkeys in the MSM I vote for ignoring all the flying fecal matter.

Makes a lot of sense!

I've never seen copper tubing used as connector buss, that's pretty solid!

I better watch the sarcasm, I'm only a +2 😁

Pardon my brevity, i thought that thebes was being cheeky. There really are Russian paper in oil capacitors! I just ;looked them up.
-
I wouldn't hesitate to buy more myself.
-
I read people swearing by different brands that were all pretty expensive. And I read posts by people swearing there was NO difference in any capacitor as long as the values were the same. So I was about to by Sonicaps when i found a post recommending some pretty inexpensive French caps called Solens. I'll have to pull up my invoice but I think they were less than 5 bucks a piece, with shipping the total was like 24 dollars. I got those. I LIKE THEM !

The first pair I replaced them in is like a completely different set of speakers now. Those caps must have been seriously compromised as playing at sound levels I enjoy would put my amplifier into safe mode pretty quickly, now I can't drive them hard enough to get it to shut down. I'm looking up those Ukrankian caplasters now, I hope they aren't too expensive.

I was experiencing a conundrum as I was posting my question. I thought "Hmmm, it has some sort of identifier affixed to its edge" I got a little closer, I could see it labeled the outputs going to the different drivers and yet it was more than just a paper tag. Weighing my options I felt its edge "by the smelting forges of Olympus! ITS METAL!" This was no mere label.

My other pair of Heresy's has a different crossover. It says "Type E-2" on the data plate. And it has 3 caps instead of 2. Is there anything to know about these before I restore them?
-
No, no, no they BLOW!

Any recommendations? I'm partial to those "Charleston Chew". Or maybe the superior tonal qualities of a "Zagnut"?
-
Since these Solen caps are physically smaller if I remove the old caps am I throwing the interior volume of the cabinet out of whack?
-
Hey Guy's! I bought the some Solens (I know! everyone is rolling their eyes) These don't have a polarity indicated on one end or the other. Is that important?
-
I'm new here. I am doing some maintenance on my Heresy's and I have some questions. How do you know what "series" of Heresy's you have? (I've seen 1 thru 4) the first pair I'm working over have a "T" in the serial. I have taken the screw terminals off and replaced them with jack posts, next is a recap of the crossovers. Any advice on this?
