  1. Thanks for the link Erik. I just checked it out. They also seem to have a store in North America. Golden Dragon 2A3 tubes are listed as $26.95. It's strange though, as the Normal SRP is listed as $20.95. Is this the one you are talking about? kudret EDIT: I was too quick to conclude about the NA store. Probably "Choose Your Location" is for determining the shipping cost.
  2. My Cary SLP70 preamp came with Golden Dragon 6SL7, 6SN7 and 12AX7 tubes. The pramp to me sounds a little dull and lacks detail with these tubes. What's the word on Golden Dragon 6SL7, 6SN7 and 12AX7 tubes? Are they considred to be good tubes? I am hoping that the sonics will improve when I get some NOS 6SL7 tubes soon. kudret
  3. Erik, Can you send me the address as well. Thank you. kudret
  4. Thanks for the last picture Erik. I'll take more pictures and post them when the DRDs get here, but this is a rare opportunity to have all three under the same roof. Here is the link to the other pictures you took and I will also put it in my signature. kudret
  5. I bit late to join the party - I am a Nikon guy myself: N801, N60, FE2. My digital camera is Sony F717.
  6. Erik (and Marie), you are so thoughtful. I can probably attach the logos myself, LOL. I've got a camera that I can take some pictures when they arrive here. If you have any pictures showing the progression of the assembly work, they should be useful. neo, its not the Doggies but the Horus I am worried about. kudret
  7. Erik, Thanks for your initial impressions. I am glad that you liked the DRDs and they are on par with your Horus amps. A three way detailed comparison (Moondogs, Horus and DRD 2A3) will be very valuable for all, whenever you have the time. I look forward to your future remarks. kudret
  8. Erik, sorry it's been a busy day. I just had the time to check the forum. They are simply gorgeous. I can't thank you enough for this. I intend to collect all the pictures you posted and make them available on my server for other DRD fans to access in the future. Close-up shots under the cahassis could help others during the assembly. Forever in your debt, kudret
  9. There is a pair of factory assembled Welbornelabs DRD 45s with upgrades on Audiogon for $1400 http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?ampstube&1075027797&class&3&4& Kudret
  10. Wow, Erik. What an excellent workmanship. I am so impressed. kudret
  11. I contacted him and asked for some pics. Nothing so far? Lynnm, if the speakers are picked up, is there any risk involved? kudret
  12. Neo, I know what you are talking about. I also prefer point-to-point wiring and the tubes exposed, but ..... I was just able to verify that it works. I haven't done any critical listening yet. The real test will be when I retube it with some NOS tubes and get my DRDs hooked up to it. Thanks for your 6SN7 rview, it helps narrowing down the selection. kudret
  13. Hey Neo, here are some pictures of my slp-70. It is almost mint and KH has confirmed that it has some nice upgrades. I am keeping it though. I had some RCA 6SN7s and Brimar 12AX7s but I am currently looking for some 6SL7s for it, have you got some extras? kudret
  14. Well done, Erik. They are beautiful. All that hard work really shows. Enjoy them. kudret
  15. If this is a coax, shield and the core can be used for connections. I have an IC made from Belden 89259 similar to http://www.geocities.com/jonrisch/ic.htm kudret
  16. lynnm, I know exactly what you are talking about. I've been looking for a pair in Montreal for a while and haven't been lucky so far. Have you looked into forwardair option while you were looking for yours? I am curious to know how much it would cost to have them shipped to Canada (Montreal)? Or is it the packaging and the difficulties involved in making the local arrangements to have them delivered to forwardair? kudret
  17. I managed to get a replacemet stylus for my V15VxMR when it was $20. $50 is still not too bad, but I also have a type-IV and there is no replacemet stylus for this one. Will a stylus for type-III fit a type-IV? kudret
  18. Thanks, Erik. I'am looking forward to your Khorn pictures as well as the DRDs. kudret
  19. There is some history behind the speakers and I don't believe there is any doubt about the authenticity of the PWK signature. The seller, Dean, seems to be a really nice person and he may re-list them in the near future. kudret
  20. I exchanged several emails with the seller yesterday and everything seemed ok. Bummer! Frzninvt, thanks for the information anyway. kudret
  21. Actually, I am more concerned about the AK-2 in them than the removed label. kudret
  22. He posted some pictures and the serial number stickers show them as '86 (not '85). Is this a good year? Also, what does LIF mean (in KB-WO LIF)? kudret
  23. Finally a pair in Canada and at driving distance to Montreal. Thanks guys. kudret Edit: Just noticed, $1700 opening bid and 9+ days to go.
  24. Hi Erik, I am glad to hear that you sold your LaScalas. It's time to change your signature and put those Khorns there . kudret PS. I am just promoted to "Crazy Poster" status. Is this something good?
