thx for the input fellas. The total price is $2477 (free shipping). I really did want to build my own computer but couldnt for two reasons: i really dont have time to do it and the price, when calculated for very similar specs, was around $200-300 (no including all the shipping)cheaper--i used pricewatch.com. So in the end, it is really not worth it.

I dont think its my denon 3802 cuz the sub itself wont turn on!! no power--no nothing! I tried my old sub and it works just fine! arghhh.....

sorry for the dumb question: what exactly is this "bi-wiring" that you speak of?

Well, after getting my left speaker to work (thx guys) i was wondering what do LF and HF mean on the back of my RF-5s? I have both of my RF-5's hooked to the LF plugs. Can someone tell me what they mean and what they do. thanks again

1. ok, i got a pooping sound from the left speaker when i did the battry test.i know the speaker works but only the horn does, i get nothing from the woofers (the 2 round-copperish lookgin discs). 2. the sub WONT even trun on..no light ..no nothing! is it blown?
-
can someone then PLEASE expalin why my sub wont even TURN ON?!?!
-
well, i had a feeling that my left speaker is not playing any sound so i turned the volume up and put my head next to it, any i heard almost nothing (my sub still works at this moment), so i thought i might have a loose connection. I turned all the power off and disconnected all the cables from the reciever and speakers and reconnected everything, when i turned the system back on the left was still playing very low and NOW my sub does not even turn on (no red or green light). I tested the speakers (using the denon setup) i get sound from all speakers(except the left which i only get a low sound) and my sub still does not turn on--no red (standby) light or green light (on). thats my story
-
yeh i always make sure + with + and - with -... ie, black to black and red to red
-
.....when i hook up the left speaker to the left connectors left speaker is low, and when i hook up the left speaker to the right, left speaker is still low
-
i tried switching left and right...left is still low
-
Hi, I just rewired them...i dont have another reciever..i made sure all the connections are right...i never touched the polarity before cuz i really dont know anything about it.. iam sooo lost!
-
Hi, Well, i just found out that my RF-5 is dead! no matter what i do i get just a peep from it..soo low you got to put your head next to it to hear anything!! And now my rsw-10 died! WTF? it was working just fine! Did i do something wrong? do i need to set my sub again once i turn the whole system off power? i have a denon 3802... please help! thanks!

Kool, thx. One more thing, people with the Denon 3802 reciever, how can you play a DVD with DTS? Everytime i select the DTS button i get no sound!! I made sure the DTS track is on and my dvd player has DTS decoder. Should i change someting on the reciver it self? Like speaker size, A/B channels, crossover, etc etc. What settings do you guys use? please help me on this one! thx
