I am wondering where can I find the schematics of RSW-12. Did a search online, but nothing came up.
-
Well, that is an option indeed [], but shipping across the country would be expensive! Is David Ness also looking for anything that is in my signature?
-
Hi, I have an RSW-12, and I will be relocating to Europe. I am wondering how easy/difficult it is to change the voltage?
-
I haven't been here for a while... circumstances are forcing me to part with my W. Schillig furniture. The 3 pieces are all in black leather with contrast white stitching. Is anyone here interested? I am in San Francisco, local pickup only.
I can upload pictures, but don't know how.Picture uploaded. Price is $3000 OBO. -
It won't be long before a pair of RF-5 shows up. I waited about 2 months, but it was well worth it.
-
I picked one today for $550 in perfect condition. Boy the RSW-12 packs some serious punch, I am very happy.
-
I've had RF-3 for 5 years, and I was very satisfied with them... until I upgraded to RF-5 a month ago. The difference, at first, did not seem big. But then I put them in A/B test, and it was obvious - RF-5 has much better imaging and tighter bass.
-
I gave up on the idea.

Can we offer assistance before asking for prices/pics? []
I actually did send the OP a PM with my price suggestions...
-
Well, what is the receiver make and model?
-
I am interested in the RSW-12 - how much are you asking?
-
I just can't understand something... if the guy is in the hospital, why isn't his wife picking up his phone? Imagine a situtation where you are in the hospital - wouldn't you ask your wife to answer the phone for you? In addition, aren't cell phones only prohibitted in imergency rooms?

Thanks for all the input, advice and good thoughts fellas. I have really been sick about this whole thing. Looks like things may work out one way or another afterall. I kind of feel like a d@#$%e bag thinking the worst of the guy after reading the email I just got from his wife, if of course it is true. All things considered, I feel I had reason to be concerned. We shall see.
Anyway, just got this email from Mike's wife about a half hour ago. It reads as follows:
Hello Jordan,
I am Beth- Mike's wife. Mike told me to log in and email you about the audio equipment you purchased from him (I hope I have the right email address). Mike is back in the hospital and has been unable to talk with you. He has instructed me to either mail your package (which seems to be only "half" packaged) or refund your money. I am making an executive decision to refund your money since I am no expert on proper packing techniques. We still have your original money order- never cashed -never deposited. You should have no trouble taking it back to your local post office and receiving cash for it. Mike has promised not to sell the equipment and offer you the first chance to buy it again upon his healthy return. He is willing to send it in "good faith" (not sure what that means). In the meantime, please accept your money back and our deepest apology.
God willing, he should be home in about 3 days or so. I am spending a lot of time there and may not be able to respond to emails for him.
Your money order was sent to the address written on the money order (hope that's OK). I sent it first class (2 day) with a signature and tracking confirmation. You will need to sign for it. The number is:
70070710000294599961.
Sincerely,
Beth Matthews.
This might as well be true, but when I was scammed, the seller came up with very artistic and realistic excuses... expect the best, but be prepared for the worst.

If this deal goes South, get in touch with the Postal Inspector. I was once sammed for $1500 over an IBM laptop. Paid with USPS MO. The freak scammed about a dozen of people. So all of us reported him to the US Postal Inspector. The guy was caught, tried and sentenced about 3 years later. I never got the money back.

How much are you asking? Do you have the original box? What is it's condition?
-
Subject says it - I need an RSW-12 for my new RF-5s. My current 8" Velodyne SPL-800 cannot keep up with the RF-5.
If anyone hears/reads about someone selling RSW-12, I would be interested to find out.
-
Did you sell the RSW-12?
-
There is a distinction between side surrounds and rear surrounds. If you are only doing 5.1, then you are talking about side surrounds, right? For mostly HT use, the RS series are recommended for side surrounds, but it is a question of preference.
-
I second the RC-7. If it is too big for your placement options, find a used RC-3.
-
My RF-3 II are up for sale - $400. Pick up is preferred. I can ship them too, but shipping will be expensive ($180 - $230).

Hey Boston, I'm sure your aren't a scammer or anything like that but dang you are always having to sell stuff cuz you're moving. What's the deal? All you really have to do is offer this stuff for sale. You seem to offer good prices. It's ok to just be selling stuff. You don't need a story about why. It just makes it look scammish, that's all. Maybe it's just me.
I have thought the same thing.
Boston is not a scammer, I have purchased equipment from him, and I recommend him.

Looking for one K-1084-SB woofer - just wanted to check if anyone has it, before call Klipsch parts to get it.
-
I am thinking of experimenting and changing the RF-5 tweeter with K-67-DV 1.75" tweeter (found on RF-7, RC-7).
Has anyone tried this?
Does anyone know what the impedence difference is between K-67-DV 1.75" (RC-7, RF-7) and K-119-KB 1" (RF-5)?
RC-7 and RF-5 both use a couple of K-1083-SB 8" woofers, but a different tweeter.
Apart from changing the impedance curve, are there any potential damages I may cause in trying?

Update on this: I learned that it can easily be switched to 240V by a pair of jumpers inside, and changing the fuse.
