  1. I’m inclined to prefer my wife over huge speakers, in particular if there’s a reasonable option when it comes to the speakers 🙂. She has actually told me to choose whatever I prefer, it’s just that I know she would rather have something smaller and less obtrusive. On the other hand, she doesn’t need long to determine if a speaker is good or not. She also likes speed and scale like me.
  2. My heart says Cornwalls but my wife will likely prefer Fortes. If only Cornwalls came with the distressed oak option (guess it makes a huge difference visually to have a brighter front on speakers of that size and).
  3. I like the look of the Cornwalls but I agree, Fortes likely look a lot better in a regular living room.
  4. I’m really tempted by these but I’m also interested in the Cornwall IVs. What do you think, in a room 18x16 (more or less open at one of the shorter walls) and 10’ ceiling, which one is best suited for my room? Currently trying out some JBL 4349 which work just fine in the room and are great. They do however tend to be a bit bright when played at higher volume (depends on the recording though).
  5. Thanks, I’m in Sweden and I know of dealers in Stockholm but that’s a 5 hour drive (single journey) from where I live. When the Covid situation comes under control I’m going. I have called dealers and talked to them but they tend to try and talk me out of the idea of buying Klipsch, instead they recommend other brands, one suggested Dynaudio, another suggested going for the JBL L100 classic. Dynaudio is not a speaker that is particularly fun (although they are usually forgiving of bad recordings). I have heard the JBL L100 classic and that speaker is very engaging with scale and dynamics, to me it sounded awesome with classical music and jazz. On the downside, I found them to be harsh with classic rock and other rock music, live recordings (even good ones) sounded flat and not engaging at all. At low volumes they were not engaging at all. Not sure if the CW4 will provide what’s good with the JBL and fix what I did not like, but I do want a speaker that can bring scale and dynamics. There’s a dealer admitting that the Klipsch are great fun and to me that’s what it’s all about, I’ll visit them later on. In the mean time I’m trying to see what people like about their CW IVs (and perhaps what they don’t like).
  6. I’m considering the Cornwall IV, can’t find a dealer nearby where I can listen to it (I’m in Scandinavia).Do you have any news on the development, has bass improved?
  7. I’m new to Klipsch, having recently started to look at the brand thank’s to several positive reviews. I listen to many musical genres (mainly rock, pop, classic rock, metal, country, jazz, classical) and need speakers that work well with most types of music. I’ve tried many different brands over time, most recently JBL L100 classic. The JBL, surprisingly, worked very well with classical music and jazz in my room, less well with classic rock (too strident, they emphasize flaws in the recordings). In general the soundstage is good in terms of depth and height and I like the scale, no problems there. So to keep the scale and live feeling of the JBLs I am looking at if Cornwall IV (or maybe Forte III) may suit me better. Cornwall IVs are getting positive reviews but I can’t really judge if they suit my taste in music. Also saw a review on YouTube where a potential drawback was brought up, strange sound when playing loud, anyone else notice this? Thank’s in advance!
