  1. Youth, congrats on the RSW-15, it looks amazing!! Thanks for the review of it's performance, really makes me want one more than ever. If you ever get bored with it let me know . That maple is gorgeous!
  2. Thanks guys for the compliments. I can't stop smiling when I see and listen to the sytem. Been a long time coming for the Maple setup and it was well worth the wait.
  3. Here are some pics of the KLF-10's, not the best since they are from my cellphone and the lighting sucked in the room they are hiding in until Christmas. They are in such great shape and for $180 I still can't believe what a deal they were.
  4. Thanks for the compliment guys, I get the speakers and the wife decorates how she wants [] I have always wanted Maple, when I bought my main room RF-7 setup I had the choice between black and Maple and the wife vetoed the Maple back then due to the decor of the house but I never forgot about the Maple setup [] It's awesome to look at and bliss to listen to. The RSW-15 will be icing on the cake.... someday.
  5. Thanks to a couple forum members I finally completed the Maple RF setup in my bedroom system. Still need to get the Maple RSW-15 someday, but for now the 5 channel setup is complete, it's sounding amazing and looks gorgeous!! Thanks to Charles Clarke for the Maple RB-5's and gigbyt (John) for the Maple RC-7. Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure, man I love Klipsch []
  6. Yeah from what I saw online $180 was a good price so I was pretty much committed to buying them regardless of their condition but when they turned out to be in amazing shape I was sold instantly. The owner was very nice and demoed some music for me, then played the speakers through a tube/hybrid amp that made them sound even better. I took them home right away [] I'll get some pics for all to see. Thanks. Scott
  7. Well I picked up the KLF-10's, they were in great condition and sounded amazing! Couldn't pass them up for $180! My son will be very happy when Christmas comes, a shame they have to sit for a couple months until then but it will be well worth the wait! Thanks for the help. Scott
  8. Great info, I will pick them up then. Kind of fun to get stuff for him and also allow me to hear other series of Klipsch for my own enjoyment. [] What would be the center channel needed to match these, the KLF-C7? Any other options? Scott
  9. I'm looking to get my son some speakers for Christmas and was wondering what people thought of the KLF-10's? How would they compare to say the RF-3's? Ihave never heard the Legend series so I'm just curious. There are several sets available locally for a good price. He would listen to music, play games through them, etc. Do these speakers require a good amount of power or could a receiver run them ok? Thanks for any info. Scott
  10. Well the wife has approved of the Maple RSW-15 look so that's the first obstacle out of the way [] Now the search begins, oh the joys of spending countless hours looking for a subwoofer [] Thanks for the great feedback, I'm very excited to find one and bring her home.
  11. This is the info I was looking for! Thanks for the quick replies too. I'm leaning more towards the music side for the main need as this sub is in our room where we tend to listen to more music than movies, but we definitely watch a good amount of movies so it has to perform there. I don't mind if it digs to 20hz and falls off fast from there, I have the SVS PB12 Ultra/2 for anything I need for earth shaking bass. I'm really looking for some nice clean bass and would like to keep it in the Klipsch family to complete my Maple setup. I thought the search for the RC-7 was going to be tough [] I might consider the reveneering option but would rather own a Maple manufactured version for my mental sake knowing it's built and legit that way []
  12. I'm pondering what I want to do for a subwoofer in my bedroom setup, I have used SVS for ever and love them but was thinking of maybe trying something different this round. The sub that I would get will probably take me forever to find and that would be a Maple RSW-15 or Maple RSW-12 if they made that size in Maple. I'm open to a black RSW-15/12 until that day comes but want to see what people think about the RSW line. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Scott
  13. Thanks for the great information on the UMC-1. I'm going to pick up a new one and see how I like it, worst case I sell it or upgrade to the new model. Very excited to see how things turn out.
  14. Vital - when you say delay are you referring to sound delay or just a delay in switching and waiting for the picture and sound to display?
  15. Very true, didn't know Emotiva offers free shipping. I would be looking at $350 plus shipping for a brand new one. Would it be worth just buying a new one for the card just in case for another $100 or so? Then if I don't like it sell it and have the card to upgrade?
