  1. I like to tinker...plus I have some spare parts. If you have a dead sub with or without the sats and control pod etc. please drop me a line. I keep watching Ebay and see good deals on dead systems but the shipping from USA-->CND kind of kills things. Email me at: tbadiuk@escape.ca in case I don't see the message here. Thanks, Ted
  2. Whoo-hoo! I get my bass back and no crackly volume knob? Ted quote: Originally posted by skonopa: I have tested this control pod and it does not have a crankly volume knob (In fact, the control pod is a replacement to one that did have a crackly knob). It should be in perfect shape.
  3. That's not a problem! I don't mind the old style, as long as it works. The crackly volume knob I can live with, better than having no bass at all with my current pod. Check will be in the mail tomorrow night assuming I don't hear back about you preferinf paypal/billpoint. Thanks, Ted quote: Originally posted by skonopa: To add (and I forgot to mention this in the e-mail), it is the older style kind, notthe newer CP-1 pod. It is a leftover when I upgraded mine to the CP-1. I actually have a second one that came with a replacement amp, so at least I still have a spare in case my current pod goes south (Those CP-1s seem to be pretty reliable, though).
  4. Thank you!!!! I have spent a couple of hours now with a voltmeter trying to figure out why my old circuit board/pod isn't working. I have a complete working V2-400 system but no sub output! Do you have paypal by chance? Not sure if you meant that you'd give me the pod as in free, but at the very least I'd like to pay shipping! If not, please let me know how much you'd like for it. email: tbadiuk@escape.ca snail-mail address: Ted Badiuk 27 Dalemead Cres. 5. Hi Justin, Who do I email at Klipsch? Also, all I really need is the circuit board (with all pots and other bits mounted complete) and the 8-PIN DIN cable (mine's sort of broken). I can reuse my plastic casing and speaker input cables since they just plug into the circuit board. Thanks, Ted quote: Originally posted by justin_tx_16: guess not a new one, the cp-1, is $50, ask klipsch if they will sell you the old control pod, they may still have them.
  6. Sell me your old pod please! When you say static, do you mean constant static even when no music playing or do you mean only when you turned the volume knob? Please email me at tbadiuk@escape.ca Thanks, Ted
  7. (Note: A control pod from a V2-400 set or a 4.1 set will work) Well, the sub of my V2-400's doesn't play. At first I though it was the sub itself but it turns out it's something with the control pod. Opened it up but can't see anything wrong. Could just be a broken wire in the control pod cable (sub volume permantly set to zero). In any case, I'd like to replace it, and would prefer not to pay $50 US + shipping which works out to close to $90 CND for a lousy control pod. I'm don't mind the original old style that makes a static noise when you turn the volume knob. As long as it's not the type that gives constant static/noise/buzz/humming even when music is not playing. If you have one please email me at tbadiuk@escape.ca Thanks, Ted
