omg, wrong side of the country or the would be mine.

I am thinking about it too. My issue is do I really need or want something that size around? (and presumably one more)

I 'm enjoying "Porter Rockwell" by Dewey. Rockwell killed more guys then the first 5 gun slingers you think of added together!

Same speakers, same question attanasio666.
I'm searching the forum atm.
edit: This is a good one:

I was 2nd in line, first to offer full price. They chose to offer it to the first person at full price, which was accepted. Would have been a long drive for me but it was by original owner and would have been nice to have I think.
ps: Keep them coming DanSoloRocker!

My ears would bleed too listening to it.

What's it called when it is not only off topic but also off Klipsch Forum? Sorry, but this is offered in Cheyenne, WY for $15. I'm having a hard time not taking a 12 hour drive to grab it! lol

I just bought a pair of Forte II in Denver for $1000.
Asking prices that I've seen in the month or so I've looked have been around that or higher.

Are all 70's amps likely to have carbon pots?
I guess a better question is how do I know what pots I have?

As always, I greatly appreciate your insight, input, and technical support on the threads. A mountain of misinformation can get wiped out with just a few of your words. Otherwise, a reply in PM is perfectly fine with me, if you prefer.
Chris.
I second that!! Thank you Chief bonehead.

It may have been something that was only touching and shorting out from the vibration of the speakers at higher output levels. At lower levels it wasn't causing a short and played normal.
I've been working the system for a couple days now with no issues.
I'm ready to declare that you were right! awesome!
I am a happy camper with my Forte IIs.
Thank you all again for your help.
(What they do for movies is amazing!)
