  1. I have a pair of oak oil Chorus II's which are absolutely flawless, bought in 98. Thinking of selling since I have khorns now.
  2. Just got a pair of 1994 Khorns, love them, but have a couple of questions. I'm now running them through a 200 watt Adcom amp. Khorns seem to be very stong in the high end, I know a tube amp would quiet this down. In the meantime, could I power the bass bins off the Adcom, and power the high end off my Sony ES receiver? Would this tame them down a bit? In the future, I could go with a tube amp to run the highs. Would I just run the Sony ES directly to the Klipsch factory wire leads which normally fed into the high end plugs on the back of the bass bin? Hope I make sense!!
  3. Do you guys have 1.5 amp fuses in your khorns?
  4. What is the largest fuse that can be put on a 94 Khorn bass bin?
  5. I was just wondering what size fuses should be installed in the bass end for the Khorn?? 1.5 amp, or is it possible to apply a higher level fuse.
  6. OK Gil and HDBRbuider, is the bass bin setup that Paul Klipsch designed achieving the same or similar results to what many bands are trying to achieve in the long throw (huge) bass bottoms they use. Some of the cabinets I've seen at concerts are extremely large weighing hundreds of pounds. Others have responded to a previous note I sent saying that even with Khorns, I'd need a heavy duty sub. Wouldn't and shouldn't the Khorn bass bin itself deliver the firepower and impact I desire by itself. I'd be powering it with ADCOM GFA555, 200 watts a side. ------------------ JW
  7. Being a Chorus II owner and wanting to upgrade to the ultimate speaker system -Khorn; I was wondering if anyone has pics of the rear of a khorn. Also wondering if someone could briefly explain what goes on inside the bass cabinet, where the sound exits.THANKS. ------------------ JW
  8. Thanks for the responses relative to my "wanting concert type bass". My Chorus II's and Sunfire sub are a great system, but I think I need to get into K-Horns and the new 15 inch Klipsch subs to really rattle the structural intent of my house. I'll probably put this stuff up for sale and try to upgrade. ------------------ JW
  9. Thanks for the info and input. What exactly is a cornwall. Are my chorus II's considered cornwalls or is a cornwall an actual speaker- I have a heritage booklet and don't see the word cornwall in it. Where do I go on the Klipsch website to look for used speakers? ------------------ JW
  10. I own a pair of Chorus II's powered by an Adcom 200 watt amp. I enjoy music very loud, kind of like the way a rock concert sounds. I also enjoy the low end a concert can produce, the kind of bass you feel. Wondering how much more bass output/feel, I would get from one of the folded horn models--Khorn, LaScala,Belle. Would any or each of these models give me the concert type bass sound/feel I'm after?? Is this what the folded horn was meant to do? I will spend the money to purchase one of the more expensive models if they will give the desired results. I don't know anyone around Canton, MI who has these speakers. Please help. ------------------ JW
