  1. Testing the speakers this weekend. Will send more pics!
  2. LOL. I have a pair and a cx rebuild kit on the way!
  3. Just ordered new caps and tweeters from Crites. Here are some photos (sorry for the multiple posts. stupid file size limits!):
  4. What equipment do I need to do these tests? I’m a little confused. Thanks.
  5. Thanks to all you who have been answering my crazy questions the last few weeks. I just brought home a pair of 1983 Cornwalls. Only one owner. All original parts. Here’s the component list so I’m assuming they are Cornwall 1.5. Cornwall 1983 K-77-M K52H K-33E B-3 crossover one of the tweeters is super quiet. I’m hoping I can fix that with a simple recap. I’ve reached out to Crites for recommendations but if you have any suggestions on mods or steps to take to bring these up to snuff please share. Thank you!!
  6. Yep my friend and I are going down in his van.
  7. I’m picking up some 1983 Cornwalls this weekend with a 3 hour return drive. tips for transporting them? Which side would be best to lay them down? Don’t think we can secure them safely right side up. I plan on bringing a bunch of blankets. TIA
  8. Are your fortes modern heritage line or vintage?
  9. Love this thread! Anyone on here using the PA5 with classic Klipsch like Cornwall or Forte and only 2 speakers? If I’m following most of you have multi speaker set ups.
  10. Thanks bringing this back on topic. what are some new SS amps that would be a good match with cornwalls?
  11. $1k and under. Don;t need a phono stage or remote. Just good pairing.
  12. um, forgive me if i'm misunderstanding something but i thought the benefit of high sensitivity speakers like Cornwalls is that you don't need much power.
  13. Great! That said do you have any recommendations for SS?
  14. What are some recommended solid state amps to pair with a set of 1983 Cornwalls? What specs should I be looking at? Yes, I know that tube is better for these classic Klipsch and I will eventually get there. But for reasons I don't want to explain, I want to start with SS. If I've read correctly that since the CW are so sensitive, the amp should have very low distortion. I'm looking at both vintage and modern. Thoughts on these two or other recos? THANK YOU! 15. Thanks. Assuming these are all original parts from 1979 and Type B network. What are the recommended upgrades to make for these 1979 Cornwall 1?
  16. That PDF is for Heritage CW IVs. I was fooled as well. I believe this is the correct spec sheet. Is there going to be much difference between CW I and II both produced in 1979?
  17. Seller purchased them in 1979. No other SN available. Are these Cornwall 1s? Try to get the specs. Thanks.
  18. well, i learned a good lesson. "snooze you lose". these are now gone. thanks for the help all!
  19. Any chance the woofer looks weird to anyone? Maybe it’s just the light.
