  1. Okay, I assume we don't have any Forte users.
  2. What if I got it for an insanely low price, would it be worth it then, or do you think it could become a future headache?
  3. I saw this H/K 430 on ebay, I think the right channel is shot, could this problem be a hassle or could it be repaired? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3000851686&category=3279
  4. Why can't I just use it off my Denon multi-zone pre-out?
  5. My question is this... can I run a H/K 430 or a tube amp off my multi-zone pre-out from moy Denon 3802?
  6. Dean, I have a new born son, and I couldn't imagine a hair on his head being harmed. Keep the faith... in whom or whatever you believe in and you and your family shall pull through.
  7. HDBR how do you think a H/K 430 or 730 would do with a pair of Fortes?
  8. Same passive radiator, different woofer, forte - 12, chorus 15
  9. Is anyone in this forum selling a tube amp? Or a HK 430?
  10. But I need to know can I run a tube amp off my 3802
  11. I saw a pair of Heresies and a pair of Fortes in a pawn shop. Both speakers are in good condition, as far as the hardware. A little beautification on the Heresies wouldn't hurt a bit. Now, the Heresies are a keeper, but the Fortes are going for $550, is that too much to spend? How do the Fortes sound, are they at all comparable in sound the the Chorus, Chorus II, La Scalas,Heresies, RF3 or RF3-II? I need just a general idea of the quality of sound of these speakers. I've heard all the previously mentioned speakers. Would they have a similar sound to any of these?
  12. Haven't found any on ebay so far.
  13. Can anyone recommend a specific kit to power a pair of Heresies and a kit for Fortes? I'm a beginner and I do want something to find out if "tubes are for me", but I don't want to realize that I love tubes and then have to turn around a go buy a completely different set. What I'm saying is I don't mind upgrading, but I'd rather upgrade within months to years, rather than having to the following month to get a better set. So maybe something beginner to moderate will do, or something affordable yet good.

  15. Okay, how can I get my hands on one???
  16. Does anyone know about this CD player?
  17. I want to run a set of tubes to power a pair of Heresies off my Denon 3802 using the second zone pre-out. Can I do this? The room is (estimating) 18 by 10,maybe a little larger. I want a nice clean sweet sound, maybe for jazz, some rhythm & blues, possibly a little rap here and there. I don't need to tear the walls down with sound since I'm in an apartment, but I do want to be able to krank it up in the future. Or maybe I can just upgrade later and settle for something nice clean and subtle for now. Used is okay, as well as DIY. About how many watts would be appropriate? I saw that ELLA set-up, it looks interesting too? What about EICO, are they affordable, and I think I read somewhere Scotts too? Sorry for the mini-novel I just wrote, but I'm new to this tube thing, any help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Can anyone suggest an inexpensive tube set up, price range $100 to $650? DIY is okay too.
