  1. In my opinion the KLF-10 is not a bad speaker, but when it is played against the RF3-II it doesn't seem so attractive, (in my opinion) the RF3-II has better highs and can dig just as deep in bass as the KLF-10. And the RF3-II takes up less space as well. The KlF-10 (in my opinion) is a speaker that dealers are trying to get off their floors to make room. But these are just my opinions, you don't have to take it from me.
  2. Okay EAR, but how would the SVS Ultra hold up in this, I know "good" but how good??? Would a single Ultra suffice in my system or would a CS+ be good enough? I ask so many question about SVS because the only good sub I've ever heard was a Velo, and I'm surrounded by Velo enthusiasts, basically I wanna knock their socks off. So I want to attempt this feat without having to dig as deep in my pockets as they did, but not spend all that doe. Although they have older Velo's they do sound pretty good. How would SVS stack up against the older Velo's and the newer ones. They have the Velo's with the passive radiators, 1012 & 1215. One guy I know will have two 1215's. But I wanna be the top "sub-bass" dog!!!
  3. I still don't know, it'll either be the CS+ or Ultra... I need more SVS influencing being that I've never heard them before.
  4. Has anyone done this before, what does it sound like?
  5. Oh and the new ones have the emblem on the front of the cabinet and the grilles are different at the bottom.
  6. IMHO there is not much of a difference, I have both. But I did read somewhere that the difference was that the RF3-II have Monster Cable, and the crossover was upgraded.
  7. So Mr. EAR if you had to choose from only one of these subs to put in your system which would it be and why?
  8. I just bought a pair of RF3-II's for my rear surround, but the RB3's were just as impressive in sound quality. I opted for floorstanding instead of bookshelf w/ stands because of my baby, he's only 7 weeks btu eventually he'll be pulling stuff down. Can I get someone's opinion on this situation, should I go back and get the RB3's. By the way I have the RF3-II's turned in on the sides of my couch, and the couch sits against the wall, the speakers sit right next to the couch (hope this helps).
  9. How hard is placement for SVS subs?
  10. Either TheEAR hasn't seen this post yet, or he has been ... STUMPED? Come one trusty ol' EAR gimme some feedback.
  11. Okay now the biggest dilemma is gettting this big mofo past my wife so she won't notice that I've went and slapped doe down on yet another "gadget" (so she calls it). It's not really a spouse friendly sub I see, but I guess it's worth it.
  12. If and when I do add that second one will it need to be powered, or passive, or just another PC sub?
  13. I'm going to pait my RF3's with a new pair of RF3-II's, should be a nice combo.
  14. And since I plan to add a pair of RF3-II before the week is out do you think I should lean towards a pair of SVS's or would a single sub do the trick. I don't want overkill since I'm in an apartment.
  15. Orange how does your single SVS hold up to you RF3's? I'm a real heavy bass fanatic, especially since a lot of the movies I watch have rap songs on the soundtrack, how would the SVS handle in that area?
  16. TheEAR why don't you have an SVS in you subwoofer arsenal?
  17. Okay TheEAR, if you had to choose from the SVS CS, Sunfire Mark IV, Klipsch RSW-12, Velodyne SPL1200, Carver Knight Shadow and the HSU-VTF3 could you rank them from best to worst?
  18. How would that SVS sub perform above 30Hz?
  19. I'm looking for a sub that will be somewhat versatile, can anyone help me with some suggestions?
  20. How would the RSW-12 compare?
  21. I'm looking for a sub to go with my system, you can see what I have so far. The system will be for both HT and music. And I'll be adding a pair of RF3-II's soon for the front and will shift the RF3's to the rear. Any suggestions?? Budgest is in the $1000 ball park, maybe $1300 as a stretch.

    LF-10

I know a store down here where I can get the LF-10 for $499... that's a good deal in my opinion.

    LF-10

Go to search in the forum, you may find a few different topics on this sub. I had been inquiring about this my sub myself, I found a floor demo for $499, I had been mulling over this purchase for months now.
