  1. I have them hooked up and they sound amazing in my big room
  2. I run my Chorus one's with a Marantz 2270. They thump. Turned out to be a perfect match.
  3. Thank you so much! This is really helpful
  4. Ok here we go again. I searched the archives and found some descent feedback but nothing to great, so I'm reaching out to the group on cable recommendations from a Marantz 2270 to a set of Chorus 1s and I should be using different cables to the TT. There are so many cables out there at so many price points, it is just too confusing. Speakers will be a MAX 8' to either side of the receiver. Any help is greatly appreciated. Mike
  5. I'm finishing up my initial vintage system with the turntable. I've decided to go new at this point while waiting to run into something vintage that I can take my time and work on. I'm currently looking at the Pro Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable as a starter with my Chorus 1s and a Marantz 2270. Just reaching out for opinions or experiences with Pro Ject TTs. Thanks again. This site is great Mike
  6. Will do. Thanks for the help.
  7. Thanks Billy Bob, I do have them now and they are in amazing condition. Turns out the guy purchased a storage locker at an auction and these were in there. I am grabbing some monster cabling today and testing them out. I was thinking of rotating the woofers since i saw that suggested sue to possible woofer sag in original component
  8. Thanks for the help. Really appreciate it.
  9. Sounds like the price range I'm starting in. Thanks
  10. Ok, Thank you, so another question. When you say they should all be close to each other in regards to impedance, I'm assuming that it is that 6-8 ohms range I am looking for? And all drivers should be close to that range ?
  11. They are actually getting dropped off today so I will let you know. I've been reading up on rebuilds for the crossovers and such. Hopefully i will have them hooked up tonight and test them out. Looking for a turntable match also if there are any suggestions. Thanks
  12. I am new to restoring vintage audio equipment and I have a question. When testing my Klipsch Chorus 1 speakers with a multi meter, I understand the ohms part with regards to what I am looking for. What else should I be testing with the multi meter? Sorry if this is low level for the group but its kind of where I'm at. lol. Thanks for the help, Mike Marantz 2270 Klipsch Chorus 1
  13. They are in pristine condition at 1200 bucks. Most I ve seen here are 2500-3000. Comments?
  14. Cool. I'm pretty good with the receiver end. I just took the whole thing apart, deoxed, inspected capacitors and circuit boards. The unit is working great. I didnt expect to run into these chorus 2s for a good price. They really weren't on my radar. Thanks for the help.
  15. I'm a novice. Does that not bode well for this pairing? I've read these speakers need some push but have no experience with them.
  16. Ok, while just about pulling the trigger on some Klipsch HOW speakers I ran into some Chorus 2s. Question. What are your thoughts on pairing them with my 2270? Do you think 70-80 watts will get the most out of these speakers? Thanks for any input.
  17. Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm gonna grab them while I'm recapping my 2270
  18. sorry click on the pic and it should come up. I have so far figured out they are Heresy heritage 1 (If I'm deciphering correcty. ) I also found that the X is 1982. So I guess now the question is how do they pair up to a Marantz 2270? I can get these speakers in good shape for $400.00. I wasnt really looking at vintage Klipsch Heresy, but i would love to hear some opinions.
  19. Hi, New to the group. I'm looking for any info on the attached pic of the Klipsch Heresy HOL speakers. I cant find any info on them. Thanks in advance for any help.
