So what you are saying, correct me if I'm wrong. If I am not bi-amping, which I am not. Just leave the factory installed metal tongue in place and just use one set of cables from the amp to either the top or bottom set of binding posts and "Bob's your uncle", as my Grandfather used to say. Correct? Oh...thank you very much for your response btw.

Is this somehow a better connection than the metal connecting plates that the speakers come with?

I've seen people connecting the upper binding post to the lower binding posts on Heresy speakers. Is there any reason to do this? Does it improve sound quality? I can understand two separate sets for bi-amping, but one cable connecting the upper and lower and plugging one amp in confused me.

So loving reading everyone's stories. Thanks everybody. It so nice to know there are so many folks out there that share the same delight and awe that I felt in hearing Klipsch for the first time. On a side note. I remember going up to Lake George in upstate NY one year to play the bar circuit over the summer. Some dude out there cut the firewall out between the cab and the bed of his pickup truck, put a permanent camper cap on it and was running two Heresy's back there. This was around 91 or so. You could here those things for blocks.

As mentioned previously. I have been very fortunate. I was actually able to take lessons with Joe Morello for eight years. My Father was a Studio musician for Capital records at one point.

I was fortunate enough to meet him twice. As long as you didn't act like a fan...he was really great to talk to.

So far so good. I know that there is a break in period but they still sound phenomenal. I know that most Audiophiles frown on this but I just ordered a Schiit Loki Mini+. I've been a drummer most of my life and the high end sometimes needs a little boost. I figured the way that the Audiophiles roll their tubes etc...it's almost like using an eq to fit your taste anyway. Like I said...this is just to boost the high frequencies on the recordings that need them for my crappy hearing.

I don't quite have 17ft ceilings. Mine runs about 8ft up to about 14ft. I originally posted 13ft but I re-measured. The floors are hardwood though we do have a couple of large area rugs. The only immovable object is the giant stand alone wood stove against one of the side walls. It stands on about a tons worth of real bricks that also follows the stovepipe up to the ceiling. It's literally at least 2000lbs worth. I guess bricks are hard enough to reflect sound. So I'll see and hear, and then I will know. I'm just hoping I'll be home in time to sign for the delivery.

Thanks! Oh I guess that I should mention. My first Klipsch experience was around 1980. My Father's new Heresy's. The first thing that I heard was The Victory at Sea soundtrack. I really felt like I was in The Navy during WW2. I was sold. I knew one day I would have to buy something from Klipsch.

For now a Dayton Audio HTA200 with a Schiit Mani 2 preamp. Does not sound bad at all. The Mani 2 makes all of the difference. I definitely see a Denon or a Yamaha in my future. It's all up to how both the amp and the speakers sound after they both break in.

Okay...they have arrived and they are set up. The first listen in order. Gary Moore "Dunluce Part 2" Rush "A Farewell to Kings" Rush "Xanadu"...both on Vinyl and then Andres Segovia playing some Ludovico Roncalli. Sounded effing AWESOME!!! I can't wait until they are fully broken in. In any case keep this chain going. It's interesting to hear about everyone's first Klipsch experience.

I listen to everything. As a drummer you kind of have to. I am thinking that maybe Gary Moore "Dunluce part 2" would be a great way to check out their range. After that maybe some Take 5. I really like anything progressive. Complexity is always fun to both listen and play.

Any suggestions for what I should play on mine when they show up? Two Heresy IV's in Black Ash showing up by 7PM today. 😁

Well I have heard Klipsch Heritage speakers before. Like I mentioned. Mom and Dad still have their Heresy's that they purchased in the 80's. I'm certainly going to try to keep the room as open as possible. I'm curious how the stucco walls will effect the sound quality. I'm hoping that it will help and not hurt. I'll try to keep everyone posted as to how things are working out. Rabbit hole away....Geronimo!!!!

Well I don't have it yet. I ordered one but it's on backorder. I would like to have the phono section anyway just in case I build another system for another room.

I'm thinking the $1500.00 range. I want to give the Heresy's every advantage without my Wife killing me.
